Previously good experiences but this time terrible – booked an item for delivery and waited two days and it has still not been picked up. website claims there is a pickup guarantee but obviously doesn't mean much to them

Harvey Norman Retail Stores - Electronics

Some pushy staff but mostly friendly, slow delivery times, overpriced items – I ordered some games during one of their sales (it was on back order) and it took them over a month to have the item in stock. By the time it was in stock, the price had already

dropped a fair amount. When I went to collect it, there was barely any customer service too. Recently, they had a laptop sale and I began to ask questions and after a while the sales staff tried to be very pushy with the extended warranty and wouldn't tell me how many of the laptop were in stock incase I wanted to drop by to get it later. Also their "half price" laptops were 50% off but the prices were already bumped up by 40% (I understand it's RRP, but harvey's RRP is far too high). The only good thing I can about their service is that some of their staff and quite friendly and they usually know a bit about the product. Generally helpful staff Overpriced, pushy sales, long stock order wait.

  Optus Broadband Cable

Good – We used to have telstra cable which disconnected every 30 minutes and was a pain to use. Not only was optus cable cheaper, it was more reliable and faster because the technician

installed a quality cable line which telstra did not. We have used optus cable for years and have had no problems at all and as a result, optus has rewarded us with discounts on our service, making it even better for value for money Cheap compared to telstra, great loyalty bonuses (inc. discounts, free software, etc), great service Call centre takes 30+ minutes to reach, like other telecommunications the terms and conditions are sometimes very sneaky

  Linksys WRT160N

Good – This router is very reliable after a firmware update and has options to set up for more advanced users as well as basic users. It has excellent range (more than 3/5 bars

reception) around the whole house which is a double storey house with the router upstairs. This router is great if you are looking to future proof your technology as wireless n is starting to become popular now Great range, cheap, cool sleek "alien spaceship" look At times drops out (but happens a lot less after firmware update). wired is only 100mbps (but doesn't matter unless you're doing network transfers)

  Apple iPod Earphones

Bad – Because of apple's major success in the mp3 player industry, they can afford to rip off customers who fall for it because they have an ipod. Their quality is generally OK, but

there are many other earphones out on the market that have the same quality for half the price OK mids and highs and very good clarity. come with the ipod None/very weak bass. Earphones have a very cheap make as the rubber on the ear pieces will come off easily and so will the rubber near the plug. Overpriced for the brand name (the non free ones)
