After spending a long time through their scripted questions with inexperienced, emotionless sales people (from a call centre overseas) to find out why, none were willing to help or willing to keep my business, other than suggesting to increase my excess, or make other sacrifices on the policy which still worked out hundreds over my current premium. Umm no, why am i paying $420+ more with less benefits (Coles has removed rating 1 protection btw), a lower agreed value and no guarantee of genuine parts. Their main reason for the increase was the cost of parts are harder to obtain.. strange reason for a current car model - it's not from the 90's. Obviously Coles are relying on people to not bother finding someone else once their policy is up. Guess what.. I'll be leaving and telling everyone i know to avoid! avoid! AVOID!!! Thankful i didn't need to claim, because i can only imagine what that would have been like with the service i received.

My car went in for a normal logbook service (45k), and was done cheaply and quickly in a bad way. To management,

I recently had my car serviced at MIDAS Indooroopilly, and with my car just out of warranty I thought I would save some money and give these guys a try. My has done less than 40,000K and booked in for a 45K service.

I was shocked to discover that apparently my brakes needed to be completely replaced, and were asking nearly $1000 for that alone. I reluctantly paid this amount, plus my service cost and drove home. I then discovered that my cars dashboard started flicking warning lights, with the ABS lights and airbag lights coming on. The next day, the cd player died, airconditioner stopped, and basically all power was no longer operational.

I called them back only to hear a total disregard for my situation or circumstance, and obviously uninterested or genuinely concerned. Not any of their detailed report mentioned anything about fuse/power issues, or any mention of other potential issues. All i got from Indooroopilly MIDAS was rudeness and arrogance. I am now left with a car which doesnt start, after spending close to $1500 in servicing with them. I have now organised for the car to be towed back to Holden.

My attempt to call the manager/owner afterwards went unnoticed, with my call ignored.

I will ensure none of my friends or family will EVER use MIDAS for their car servicing after this awful experience.
