Bad – Sounds like everyone is having the same probs with the pilot light going out.
If anyone can email me the source of this problem that would be awesome... 25year old system but i know she still has a few years left in her.(no leaks)

My new system was experiencing the same problem. The Bosch has a safety feature that whenever the water is too hot, it will "blow out" the pilot light rather than kill the client.
Here's he kicker though. You may have noticed if you want hotter water slow down the stream of water. The unit will not tolerate water that is too hot as per the safety feature.
So it doesn't matter how well the unit is installed if you don't have enough water going through the unit will overheat and the safety feature will kick in and "blow out" the pilot light.
