The dreaded E24 error code – We have owned the Bosch now for about 14 months and it has been great at its main function: washing dishes, however, we got the dreaded E24 error message about 2 months ago which signals that there is a problem draining the water. I did everything I could to clean filters etc then had to resort to callng the service guy, result was removal of a minute part of a chicken bone wedged in the filter system. This filter system is only reachable by pulling the machine out. The reason I am writing this review is I am waiting for the service guy again to come and pull the machine out and clean the filter. I will be watching very carefully how he does it because I will be doing it next time. Oh and I did check out the you tube clips where some Amercian serviceman attempts to explain how to do it, only it is not quite the model sold in Australia. washes dishes well stupidly located final filter system

Hi.. I also have the same problem.. But the last 2 times I got the E24 error, I shook the drain pipe and it seems to have resolved the issue. Hope its only some blockage and not a systemic problem

Hi Baz, Thanks for your feedback and tip for correcting the E24 error. The E24 error code indicates one of the following:

i. The waste water hose is blocked or kinked ii. The siphon connection is still sealed iii. The cover on the waste water pump is loose.

To our customers who are experiencing this error, make sure that the waste water hose is clear and not restricting the flow of water while the water pump cover is properly secure.

To see how the waste water pump cover works and how to clean under it, please review this video: external link  To identify issues with the waste water hose, this video should help: external link
