OK – As this is a bin it is quite expensive. Depends if you are really concerned with the hygeine. We used to just have a nice looking stainless steel been with a foot petal. My hubby bought this as he thought that the sensor was pretty cool. We've only had it for 2 months and so far we have not had any problems with it. It is a pretty good sized bin for our needs. Its a nice looking bin. Couldn't really think of anything. On the expensive side considering that it is just a bin. Depends how much you like gadgets
