It makes a big difference from where you buy them – Yes, that sounds strange, but that’s exactly what we experienced. We bought first set from TJM in Sydney. After two weeks driving only very few km on bitumen road, the gadget stoped working.

I worked for about 10years in electronic assembly and testing on component level, so I may say I'm a expert. I looked the soldering and I have just one verdict – cold soldering – this must have had happened, it was basic fault of production.

We went back to TJM, and to cut story short, they changed the Tyredog™ altogether 6x (six times) none of them worked properly. On end they refunded us AU$399,~ .

But I wouldn’t give-up totally. The idea of monitoring tyres, especially when driving on very rough off-road sounded so wonderful.

I went on eBay and bought set of those from Taiwanese seller for about AU$170,~ with one year warranty.

They working faultlessly for over two years already!

I did recommended this product to our friends, but I recommended to buy it from eBay, not from TJM. I like whole idea of monitoring of tyres pressure & temperature. Substandard quality of soldering made Tyredog™ monitoring system useless

I sincerely hope, I helped you in making decision. Difference in between buying from Aussie shop and Ebay is that Ebay’s monitors are made in Taiwan not in China. There is actually very, very important thing to know before installation! Get your self stainless-steal valves (stems)! With definite certainty you will beat the sensor’s to death if they remain on flexible rubber valves for extended period of time. Cheers Zdenda
