Excellent – I guess I bought this unit as a 'filler' until the 'new' video formats sort themselves out as to which is what! I also wish to use it as a CD player, a task most dvd players struggle with, this unit applies itself well, and in optical mode, I have no complaints, again, very quiet. Enjoy. Delivers what I would regard as a very good picture. Sound is great for dvd's, though I have yet to run it in full surround mode. Remote is simple. Instruction booklet is very comprehensive and easy to understand. DVD drive unit is quiet. Price was $110 AU. Replaces my LG (see review). None so far, though I will report back if any problems.
