Terrible – Not user friendly. Major letdown for sony. Steer away if you want a good product. Looks good. Price. It is absoloute rubish for the price i paid for it. The amplification is no good. Not high enough volumes There is not enough inpute either for my needs! the display is to bright (should be fixed) The remote is EXTREAMLY hard to use.

Good – Very happy with this Sony unit, I plan to keep it for some time and will consider Sony amps in the future based on this experience Great looking unit with the minimalist brushed metal front. All the control have a quality feel about them. Sound quality has been excellent in 5.1 and 2 channel modes I had a faulty digital input board inside which played up after about 6 months, this was fixed under warranty promptly by a Sony repair centre. The remote is quite complex, however this means less complexity needed on the receiver's face. Only 2 digital inputs (one coax, one optical)
