going to bother trying to get it repaired, I'll stick it out and see how far it gets me. In the end, I'll get a better quality recorder in the future and use this one as a pretty door stop. Recorded picture quality is good, when running video through it, the picture is slightly pixelated although the recording is good quality. Non finalised DVD +RW discs are readable on the PC and my Viewmaster DVD player. The lock ups! It locked up within 20 mins of me turning it on! Locked up 3 times since and I have only had this a couple of days. A slight lag between the picture and the sound (only slightly but enough to annoy). Picture of 16:9 recorded DVDs appears streched as it looks like it is trying to play it back in 4:3 format on a 16:9 TV. The unit is noisy, the fan in the unit sounds like it is about to take off! The blue light sucks, it is too bright! It doesn't like many DVD -R discs for play back.

Terrible – the worst appliance of any kind that I have bought.  Customer service is abyssmal.  Would definitely not recommend this machine to anybody.  I've now learnt my lesson - do not buy cheap electrical appliances !!  At least I got $80 back from cash converters for it !! it's cheap price but, as they say, "you only get what you paid for" Machine just does not function - constant freezing is a major hassle where the only way to kcik the machine back to life is by switching off at the mains.  Quite often after recording programmes and then saving it to disc you will find that nothing has actually recorded yet the message "disc is full" will appear.  Extremely frustrating machine.

Bad – Well I ended up taking it back to Big W for a full refund as I didn't even open the box. I was too put off keeping it and trying it. I ended up buying a Digicrystal SD STB with a 80gig HD on ebay instead for just over $200 (it just arrived today). Terrible – Quality horrible. Good if you want it for a 8 year old's room. Chep as chips. Not much bad just not good quality. not enough formats to record onto

Terrible – It would be by far the worst piece of equipment I have ever purchased. I would not recommend that anyone should buy this particular recorder at all. foolishly bought it. When it worked for a couple of days I found it very hard to pre-program (especially after the ease of pre-programing a VCR for many years), then the lock-ups started and the only way to turn it off was to unplug it. The box was so hot that I could hardly touch it. I used it for three days only and it's been at the repairers ever since.

Terrible – What can I say , I am flabbergasted by this unit and its versatility. it has 102 uses and is currently being accessed by the commonwealth games for the shot put. Terrible – Rubbish Nice blue light Everything - makes coasters constantly. Would stop in the middle of recording and would have to remove mains plug for a couple of minutes to reboot

recording,cannot get a dvd to be compatiblebut today took the cake ,went to record,kept on saying no disc tried to open the tray it refused and to top it off it lost all power. Now it is in the repair shop.

Terrible – Ill neever buy from digitrex again I went to thhe warehoues and got a transonic for 360. it has neveer played up annd neever missed a recording crate uint nothing I got my money back It was the sane as very one eals said about the heap off trash didgitrex should be ashame of having this product no the maket

Terrible – Very disapointed. Next time I will do a lot more research. Its very easy with practice to unplug all plugs I have had this machine for 6 weeks and it has been in for repairs for a total of 4 weeks, for the very same reason many other reviewers have stated. Would I buy this recorder again? Not on you nelly

too small & the writing is hard to read.

Does not record when the input tape is NTSC - even though my dual format VCR is set to output a PAL signal (which works fine on my PAL TV).

Terrible – very anoying when it does this this is the second one i have the first one done the same i will be taking it back to the store and get my money back,the old saying you get what you pay for good looking it locks up on timer recording you have to pull the plug to get it working again
