Terrible – If its as good as they say and your game give it a try.however when i took my 2nd unit back there was another guy in the store returning his 2nd unit also (perhaps just a bad batch?). on the market, model: dsthd100. Time will tell!! If you can believe everything you are told about this unit it, should be great! But... 1st unit locked up only hours after instalation and would not respond to anything except unplugging,and would not hold its memory.the 2nd unit lasted a week then it did the same thing but went one step further. When restarted the audio was about 15 seconds ahead of the picture!!!!

find the unit freezes with the word 'wait' on the display. Despite unplugging it and rebooting it over 20 times in 48 hours- it either show 'wait' or on 2 occasions channel 3 has appeared ( but no vision to accompany it), and np response to either the remote control, or anuy amount of button pushing on the unit itself. Also despite using the unit in 3 locations in Sydney Channel 9 signal is always poor

Terrible – i've had toshiba amps, vcr's (beta and vhs) cd and dvd players and never had a problem. with the trouble i've had with this set top box and the warranty issues and lack of service, i will never buy toshiba again! good when it actually works! the stb came as part of a deal when i bought a toshiba hyper-digital tv ($3600!!!!). it was trouble from… Read more

day 1; kept freezing or if powered down, hit and miss to fire it up. sent it back under warranty; they had it for 3 months, same issues when it came back; still the same now; don't know why i still have it!

Terrible – Apart from the sound quality, the unit has got alot of well documented specs and having an aux input was a bonus. Unless the problems are fixed I will replace with another brand. does get very hot and is installed in a well open vented shelf.Remote does not respond quickly very slow tried new batteries same problem.Just purchased this item on Friday.

Good – An excellent STB with fantastic audio and visual quality;my Panasonic HD 76cm TV really makes set come alive. set - look no further this is the STB for you EXCELLENT picture via component connection, ability to change display resolutions via remote control, simultaneous output of SD for DVD/VHS, AUX input and easy to operate. Also, did have a problem with channel 9 freezing but fantastic after sales support from distributor Castel. slow start up and channel changes. A timer channel change facility would be nice so can record digitally from different channels.

have a copy. our boxes at work have problem freeezing HD on channel 9 firm ware upgrade has stopped this problem so check with your retail if they been upgraded
