Pros: Good feature list

Cons: I got used to the unit freezing on me and not accepting signals from the remote, but i just returned from 10 days overseas, during which I unplugged all of my electronic units, and now find the unit freezes with the word 'wait' on the display. Despite unplugging it and rebooting it over 20 times in 48 hours- it either show 'wait' or on 2 occasions channel 3 has appeared ( but no vision to accompany it), and np response to either the remote control, or anuy amount of button pushing on the unit itself. Also despite using the unit in 3 locations in Sydney Channel 9 signal is always poor

Overall: Very average for the price and supposed reputation of Toshiba products as espoused in their advertising material, and not worth having repaired

Pros: good when it actually works!

Cons: the stb came as part of a deal when i bought a toshiba hyper-digital tv ($3600!!!!). it was trouble from day 1; kept freezing or if powered down, hit and miss to fire it up. sent it back under warranty; they had it for 3 months, same issues when it came back; still the same now; don't know why i still have it!

Overall: i've had toshiba amps, vcr's (beta and vhs) cd and dvd players and never had a problem. with the trouble i've had with this set top box and the warranty issues and lack of service, i will never buy toshiba again!

PROS: Purchased 2 years ago. Good pictures when working thru Fujitsu plazma on HD but

CONS: Initially froze after 12 months with ch9 issue and following software upgrade has been stable until this week . . . froze and will not re-boot at power up. Runs hot and disappointing purchase. (a 1983 Toshiba CRT still produces an above average picture - in retirement)

OVERALL: Expect more from a 'top of the line priced product' and from Toshiba . . .
