Logitech MX Revolution

Excellent Performer – I still have this mouse despite the fact that this model has since been outdated with a newer model which I just so happen to own also. This mouse is still good, the battery life is very very good and takes very little time to charge; however it does not allow you to use the mouse at the same time while charging whereas its newer updated… Read more
counterpart allows that option.
The accuracy of this mouse is very high and it really feels like a very high quality mice just like most of Logitech's range. Everything Can't use the mouse while it is being charged; Can easily be knocked out of its charging position while docked
Been using it for over a year, great mouse but it's been superceded! – I've been using this mouse for over a year at work and home (I bought one at home based on my work experience) and I love it. It's comfortable to use (if you're right handed that is) and I find that it tracks accurately and the battery lasts at least 2-3 weeks before I have to charge it again. I was especially happy with the variety of inputs on… Read more
it and the fast/smooth scrolling to the point that I can not use a mouse without smooth scrolling now.
My only regret about it is that I at first recommended this mouse to my dad but opted instead to buy him the new Logitech Performance Mouse MX (M950) and after using it I can honestly say that I would buy that mouse in a heartbeat over this one due to its ability to work on glass and most importantly charge via a micro USB cord whilst I still use it which is a big plus in my book! Reliable, comfortable superceded by Performance Mouse MX (M950)
Bad – Maybe I just had badluck, but I advise: don't buy complex mouses, choose the more simple and reliable ones... The best mouse Ive used but... This mouse is not reliable AT ALL! I paid a lot for the product, although I was satisfied until that in 2 weeks of use, it simply stopped working. They sent me another. Very nice, was perfect, but in 4 months… Read more
of use, it started malfunctioning. The cursor didn't follow my hand and became totaly unprecise. wasn't any dirt or hair problem, nor mouse pad. I just had to put it aside.
Now im waiting some solution from the company...
Excellent – This is the very best mouse I have ever owned. I have owned it now for over 6 months and have not yet had to change the batteries. I bought rechargeable batteries just in case but have not used them. The mouse is very precise and I simply love the hyper speed wheel. It allows me to rocket through pages or with one click turn it into a standard run… Read more
of the mill click wheel. After using such a mouse I would never go with another brand. Also the appearance and build quality are great. Very highly recommended. Ergonomical and comfortable shape, awesome hyper speed wheel, great battery life, great build quality, logitech's 3 year warranty
Excellent – My old mouse recently died so I had to buy a new one whether I liked it or not. The old one (also a Logitech) lasted a couple of years so it had a good run considering the number of times I banged it down on the desk whenever I got upset with something – usually my computer; Microsoft software will do that to you (which was often). I’d initially… Read more
planned to buy an exact replacement, but they didn’t make them anymore – the majority available now are apparently all cordless. I liked the look of the MX Revolution (despite the $150 price) because it contained so many useful features – so I decided to give it a go. Installation of the mouse and bundled software was surprisingly easy – no IT degrees needed here. Getting used to it was a little more problematic – I had to refer to the “manual” several times between experimenting with everything but now that I’m getting used to it, I must admit that I can’t imagine life without it! I especially like the scroll feature which allows me to seamlessly change (simply by clicking down on the main wheel) from click-to-click slow for reading pages, looking at images in my hard drive etc, or fast for travelling quickly down long pages. Other buttons – located on the left hand side - allows me to instantly return (or go forwards) to the previous page/s in my browser – its not as conveniently located as it could be, but it’s easy enough to handle once you get used to making the transition – it saves a lot of sideways scrolling. Another great feature is the one-touch search button located on top behind the wheel that you can click to go straight to your favourite search engine (the software allows you to select which one) – even more nifty is the manner which it allows you to highlight a particular word or phrase then click on that button to carry out your Google or Yahoo search as the case may be. The side wheel lets you flip (toggle) between different documents (browser, Excel, Word etc) on your desktop which is terrific if you’re multi-tasking. And it’s cordless… NO more $@#&$#! Wires getting caught on everything! The only real downside is that there are numerous settings which make setting up everything a little fiddly and confusing, a situation not helped by the lack of a manual that I can actually hold in my hand; it’s a minor quibble though. The salesman told me that I could go several weeks without re-charging, but that’s not the case – I won’t be able to go much longer than a week or so without re-charging (admittedly, I am a heavy user and use the computer most of the day for work) – but the charger is so quick and easy to use that this isn’t a problem. It’s as simple as 1-2-3; just stick the blunt (bottom) end in the plug-in charger and away you go. The system also lets you know when power is low so you won’t receive a nasty surprise in the middle of writing an important e-mail or anything like that. Overall, I really love using the MX Revolution – and yes, I thoroughly recommend it to other users. Solid sturdy design, not cheap or plasticky at all, lots of features, fast and slow scroll speed settings, instant search capability, browser page return, lovely ergonomics, easy to hold and use, rechargeable – no need for conventional costly batteries, notifies you once they get low. Price (expensive), a little heavy, batteries lose power faster than expected, no paper manual, need to access help library on the computer
Excellent – Handy unit. The best thing is the scroll button. It's either super fast and you only have to spin it a little to slide through a huge document (great bearings) or you press it and it changes to click by click. It's really accurate on any surface. If you select a word you can press one button and it looks it up in a search engine. The thumb scroll… Read more
scrolls you through open windows which can be handy if you have lots of referencing. Having forward and back buttons on the thumb is great for the net. And the eye isn't a bright red light which is great. The only thing that lights up is the battery indicator. A little pricey for a mouse but not over the top for something that makes life much more comortable if you're using it a lot and features that make it really easy to use. Cordless, great buttons, rechargable with long battery life. As with them all, it's a bit small for my hand.
