Excellent – Our player has been running well for more than 6 years. No repairs or servicing required. Has lasted longer than any other optical laser device I have owned. Would recommend to anyone - except they don't make them any more. Reliable, well made. Slim design doesn't take up much space on the AV rack. Light weight, although you won't be moving it around much.
Plays almost anything except blu-ray discs.
Good menu system and on screen display, particularly useful when playing mp3 music CDs. Prone to overheating due to slim design, particularly if place near or on top of other AV equipment.
Can be a bit fussy with old and scratched discs, especially if the unit is already running hot.
Front display is a bit small and can be hard to see from across the room.
Can be hard to distinguish between buttons on top of unit when player is located in an AV rack or storage unit.
OK – I must say I expected more of this unit because I was buying "LG". It has been a disappointment to me and there are better performing units on the market for less money. I like the slim design and silver colour to match the rest of my electrical equipment. Operation is fairly simple given that it has quite a lot of features. It's a good value for money purchase. I find it very slow to turn on and respond to a "play" command. It doesn't play all the types of media available on the market which is a disappointment for some movies and pictures I've backed up to disc. Considering a VHS is dinosaur technology, this DVD player doesn't display "time remaining". I found the remote does not have the various buttons placed in logical locations, so I frequently have to look at it to find the button I need.
Good – Good value for money, easy to use. I am really happy with my LG DVD Player. It has Played all dvd's and cds i have put in it. Good value Nice slim design makes it a perfect fit for my entertainment unit. None. I have never had a problem with this DVD player.
Good – It is easy to use, from someone who is not technicaly minded, and I havent lost the remote for it yet... my technicla minded daughter is still trying to teach me how to drive it to the best of its abilities though... A nice simple uncomplicated piece of equipment suitable for all non technical users. The door sometimes sticks and wont open as easy as it should.
