Frustration and disbelief – Being a handyman I change the hose two times (got the replacement silicon hose from Aliexpress, $4), the third one lasts so far. Changed the pump once (got the replacement one for about $60 ?? from Ebay), as the pump started to leak. Still works, mainly because I do not hold the irrigator closed when the pump started. The main problem now with the sprayer head, as 80% of those do not rotate. Show details
Faultless so far – UPDATE: This appliance has been returned for refund/replacement under warranty. The pump has failed and the ON/OFF switch on the hand piece has become impossible to use with wet hands. The appliance has been used normally and only by one person and was purchased in October 2023. Two faults while under Warranty has caused me to now edit my… Read more
original review. I had extensive dental work done and had difficulty doing dental flossing in the normal way. I sought advice from friends as well as my dentist and I was advised to buy a water flosser. I searched product reviews and did my homework and decided in favour of a bench top unit, rather than one powered by rechargeable batteries. And when it came to product selection I was influenced by my very good experience with Oral B electric toothbrushes. After using it for 1 week I returned to the dentist to check whether it was actually doing a good job and she confirmed that it had flossed my teeth excellently. I was very happy with this product until it failed.
Too poor a product now – I brought 3 of the products from time to time. the previous two can not work due to broken hose. And boght my third one. The product become poorer now, not only hose easy to broken, but also the pressure became too weaker to clean the tooth, as reviewed by others, just heave to throw away as a rubish. Wast my money, not recomand to buy the products. Show details
Bad experience withe the hose – I am on my third Oxyjet and I have also had the hose break on my two previous models. Why can't you make the hose from a material that does not go brittle with age Show details
Alright – The Oral-B ProfessionalCare Oxyjet is a great electric toothbrush. It cleans alright, a circle vibrating, it comes with more than one head so you can easily replace the heads. One issue is the gunk that forms on the bottom. Charge really never been tested cause it stays in the bathroom plugged in. It doesn't have many options. But still is good.
Can't live without it – The problem with the broken hose is easy to repair, renew the hose with 3mm plastic gasoline hose. Don't forget to replace the white plastic rings at both ends of the hose. Put the ends of the hose in hot water for easy fitting.
Problems with the hose perforating – Yes, I agree with other reviews, this is my second Braun Oral B Prof Care Oxyjet and on both the hose has perforated. The first time I went to a local store and they ordered a new hose but then it took FOUR of us to replace the old one as it was so complicated and needed several hands together. My second one has now gone the same way but after… Read more
the problems, and expense of the new part, last time, no way am I going to mess about with it. I don't know if I should buy another, but it is very good and the water jet does bring out a lot that I'd have thought was cleared.
Oral B Oxyjet – I love these machines but they have a big problem. The water jet hose always breaks. There are no replacement ones so will have to send it to Braun. Exactly the same problem. the Water jet hose broke. Again my 3rd Oral B machine. Am frantically searching on line as cannot afford another 150€ for a new machine.
Great unit .terrible hose – This is my second unit and once again there is a fault with the hose breaking in a few places , At $200 you would thing one could buy a replacement hose and keep working ,maybe someone could find where we can buy a hose
Seriously faulty design undermines confidence in the quality offered by the brand – Like many others the tube connecting the handle to the main housing broke near the base of the handle. I attempted repair but the entire tube was too brittle to be serviceable. I've had barely two years of service out of it. All other parts of the device remain in good working order. The main motor and pump should last at least a decade. In the… Read more
unlikely event that it is not possible to make the tube out of a more robust plastic then straightforward replacement of the tube by the user should have been designed into the product and the replacement part offered at low cost. A replacement tube + handle assembly is obtainable from Shaver Shop (discontinued by the manufacturer) but costs around $46. Installation is unnecessarily difficult.
The poor design and short service life of this device seriously undermines the perception of quality for the entire brand.
Don't buy this device – Do not buy this device - it simply is not worth the money. The device is not "fit for purpose". The hose connecting the water receptacle to the handpiece springs a leak after an unreasonably short time considering the expense of the device and the relatively light use (one person only!). I am on my 3rd Oxyjet - they all have/had the same problem.… Read more
The customer service is terrible - they do not stand behind their product -- they keep referring to their company warranty, which is not relevant because the material used does not stand up to even light wear.
The device is/ has no longer been sold in the American market for the last 4 years
Orrible Oxyjet – I replaced my old Oxyjet, recommended by my dentist, with a new model, which totally lacks the jet strength of the old model. Then the new model starting leaking just after the warranty expired. The leaking model has been repaired TWICE by an authorised company, and still leaks!! Cost of my bathroom repairs where the leaking water damaged my… Read more
vanity unit, and I need to replace the vanity and ALL the bathroom tiles, will be thousands of dollars. This is a really poor product, another example of MIC (Made in China) rubbish. It cleans the food debris in those awkward areas. Poor product that cannot be repaired.
Toothbrush with poor jet strength caused thousands of dollars damage to vanity and all bathroom tiles. Wow, that's Internet for you.
Pathetic – This is the most pathetic "irrigator" I have ever wasted money on. Notwithstanding some of the five star reviews I can assure you it is nothing like its predecessor where the plastic tube cracked after a few years and the gadget is non-repairable. I advise to avoid this product like the plague. It does not clean out debris and has a pathetic flow of water.

Know better, choose better.
Excellent but not durable – I use my Oxyjet every night and my dental hygienist is always impressed with how clean my teeth are even though she favours flossing! I won't floss but I will use the Oxyjet. HOWEVER, it is far too prone to problems. First (but admittedly after more than 2 years of use) some black substance had built up inside the hand piece. Fortunately my… Read more
husband was able to take it apart and remove whatever that stuff was. Then about 3 months ago, the little tube on the hand piece developed a crack - husband to the rescue again. And a week ago, the water jet strength reduced - yet the water in the reservoir was used up more than twice as quickly as usual. Today my husband took the hand piece apart again and found that there was a crack in the internal tube. That too has been repaired - but what next??? Easier (for me) than flossing and more thorough, too. Expensive and often needing repair. And what if I didn't have a handy husband?
Good, but not built to last – My Oxyjet broke this week, which is a real shame because it really helped to get my teeth clean. I only used the water-blaster a couple of times each month, but it made a real difference. When I last visited my dentist (in March) he told me I had the best teeth out of all his patients, and as far as I'm concerned that's largely thanks to the… Read more
Oxyjet.
However - at $200 (a bit cheaper on eBay) it's very expensive for something that's only used a couple of dozen times per year. And the hose on mine broke yesterday, rendering the whole unit inoperative. I have to be honest, for $200 I'm not going to be in a hurry to buy a new one, especially as I'm not confident that it would last. If they sold this for $100, then I'd go and get one right now...but they don't. Great at really cleaning teeth Very expensive and not durable
Good – This is my first ever electric toothbrush, and I've been amazed at how much better the result is as compared to the old school manual variety. I have to be honest and say that in the six months that I've owned it I haven't used the oxygen thingo, so can't comment on that, however the toothbrush and it's various heads has been great. Sometimes I… Read more
turn the charger off though as constantly having the green charge light on 24/7 is probably unnecessary. teeth feel fabulously clean, toothbrush can last for nearly two weeks between charges so great for travelling quite large so takes up lots of space on the vanity
Terrible – I had the old Oral-B irrigator (20 years old and still working) I stupidly bought this new product and gave the old one to my daughter. I am now proposing timeshare with my daughter on the old model as she refuses to part with the old machine. I am in total agony from gingivitis which I have not had for 20 years and have taken to surreptiously… Read more
dropping in at my daughters' house bolting upstairs and using the old machine when the pain becomes too great. Do not buy this product. Absolutely nothing I have never been so
disappointed in a product I have just thrown $200 in the bin
while the electric toothbrush is fine it is no better than cheaper models Irrigator just does not work at all far, far too weak. A total waste of time and money
Good – I haven't had this unit for very long so I can't say how it will last long term but I really love it. I enjoy the water pik but I didn't really need and probably don't use it enough to warrant it. I would have bought a more basic electric toothbrush if it weren't for the water pik, this was the only model I could find that had it. This eletric… Read more
toothbrush gives a great clean. I love the water pik and the tongue cleaner attachment. I like that we can store the toothbrush and water pik attachments for 4 people inside the case and you can travel with the toothbrush and two attachments in a handy little travel case. It is really expensive.
Cure of Headaches – After years of suffering headaches I am now totally cured. Thank you OXYJET Oxyjet repaired nerve endings on my back teeth. Over the time to identify the cause of teeth pain and associated painful head ache I had many X rays, visits to several dentists, one MRI and lots of pain keelers. At last I found Oxyjet on sale on a chemist shop in the… Read more

Good – An excellent teeth cleaning 'centre' if you want to get more of a professional-feeling clean. The choice to use the waterstream is especially great for an extra clean once a month or so. Really does leave my teeth clean and healthy and my dentist has commented on my excellent dental hygiene. I love that it really works well to keep my teeth… Read more
clean and gums healthy. The waterstream is great to use when I want an extra thorough clean. Has to be left on all the time otherwise it doesn't stay charged. It's kind of big on my vanity and takes up a fair amount of room for a small vanity.
