Satisfied customer – I've used this equipment on my legs and underarm for years and find it very efficient and definitely discourages growth. The machinery itself has never faulted in all these years and is still going strong. I tried No No on my face and can honestly say it's useless. This Emjoi, however, is great. It does what it says it will do it is also an… Read more ·  1

efficient piece of equipment. I have never had to replace it in years of use. It's not pain-free but who cares if it works you can put up with it!

Excellent – From shaving to waxing to epilation, I've tried them and find that I like the Emjoi. Its not the best for large areas unless you're only doing a 'touch up' say after a leg wax because it just takes so long that your technique suffers and the hair breaks off instead. For the money I've saved on not having a beautician waxing my underarms and bikini… Read more ·  3

line, this product pays for itself easily after one summer. The Emjoi is good for hair removal from smallish areas like underarms and bikini line. It comes with several adapter heads for different applications such as facial hair removal and a clipper/shaver head as well. I do find that a fair proportion of hairs get broken off rather than removed at the root when I do my legs, but this may well be due to my impatient technique! It can be noisy (husband complains).

Excellent – One of the best hair removal products, for all over the body such as the legs and arms. Though I would not recommend this product for facial removal as the tweezers are too harsh for the facial or bikini area. A good investment product especially compared to waxing, as it removes the hair from the root like waxing and is cheaper in the long run.… Read more

The product is effective, looks classy, safe, reliable and lasts a very long time. I've had mine since 2002 and about to buy a new one because it's not as effective at speedy and effective at removing all hairs at one attempt. After using this epilator, I never want to go back to shaving or get my legs waxed at the beauty salon every 2-3 weeks, which works out to be more expensive than purchasing this epilator which you only have to make an one off payment, and can be used over and over for a number of years. I have had no technical problems with this product and I love it such much and rely on it all the time. I think the emjoi epilator is one of the best hair removal products invented, as it saves you money compared to waxing or shaving and its way cheaper than laser hair removal if you can't afford it. I love this epilator. I bought this as my first epilator as an alternative to waxing and shaving. This product lasts for years. The product plucks the individual hairs from the roots which means that it takes longer to grow as opposed to shaving, where shaving only cuts the hair from the surface. Also I love the love of this product, plus there is is tweezers gold plated which makes it even more classy. Effective hair removal product. Saves money on shavers, shaving creams, waxing or waxing at the salons. Can pluck both thick and fine hair. Generally removes all hair at one attempt, barely have to epilate all over the same area. When I first used it, there was a prickly pain as the epilator pluck every individual hair from the root. It feel like using a million tweezers to pluck a number of hairs at the same time. Though, after a few times of using the epilator my skin and the experience of epilating no longer occurred. After using the epilator for a few years now as the tweezers is gold plated, most of the gold colour has rubbed off, left with silver finish (not a rusty colour). Epilating can be more time consuming compared to shaving. Epilating will be especially painful at the start for those you have been shaving for quite some time.

Bad – i hated this product would not recommend it i couldnt even give this away as no matter who tried it young or old would rather stick to shaving or waxing not only to sAVE the pain factor but also because it was time consuming to do it effectivly.dont waste your money stick to waxing or shaving for much better less invasive results. and proble… Read more

cheaper in long run. Well it does include remove the hair so i guess it acheieves what it sets out to to be honest i hated it used it all of 3 times and threw it into back of cupboard i may be a sook but i could not stand the pain given from using this product and the fact the word gently is in its name time is just so misleading i assumed it would be more of tickel prick from the labelling but it was literally pulling hair by hair out like you would with normal tweezers.

Good – Extremely effective product which literally rips the hairs right on out and they don't grow back for a couple of weeks at least. This is a high quality product that just seems to keep going and going - never breaking down. Skin must be kept taut in the bikini area while epilating so the skin doesn't get caught between the tweezer-like mechanism.… Read more

I love that this product can take out hairs that are extremely short as well as those that are longer. It's very quick when it pulls the hairs out, leaving instantly smooth, hair-free skin! Can be quite painful in certain areas like my underarms, but taking some Nurofen 20 minutes before I epilate can make a big difference!

Excellent – Great!! I have been using it for over 10 years. The emjoi is quick to use and clean and you can put it in the case and take it on holidays with you. in summer and in winter I can go for 3 months without having to worry about shaving. At first it causes a bit of pain but the old saying 'no pain - no gain' is true.

After a while it doesn't hurt as much.

Good – The hair removal lasts a lot longer than shaving which makes it a life saver for busy people in summer. The price isn't too bad compared to other brands. A lot cheaper than regular visits to the waxing parlour. I would recommend this product as long as they realise that it does hurt!!! All in all a fairly good product from Emjoi. to use and it does what it is advertised to do - remove hair. I use it to maintain my waxing in summer. it hurts but you do get used to it. It is fairly noisy also.

Good – I bought one about 5 years ago and it only recently died on me. Me and my hairy legs miss it terribly. Its great for any part of the body (if you can stand the pain), and even better it saved me so much money on waxing, hair removal products, razors and shaving creams. I never had any ingrown hairs either, I wonder if it has to do with the gold?… Read more ·  1

Overall, if you have a high pain threshold, an epilator is a good investment to have. Removes hair quickly and is long lasting. Simple design - no confusing bells and whistles. They no longer make this model

OK – This is a pretty good product, even if it does hurt, even though the packaging says it doesn't. It's also great if you have to go out on short notice and you don't have time to get rid of unwanted hair. My last epilator broke after quite a long time, so I picked this one up. It's definitely better than my old one. I use it for mostly small patches… Read more

- underarms, bikini, and bits you forget to shave. I couldn't live with out it. It's hardly painless like everyone says. Sure, there are some places that don't hurt, but sometimes it's agonising - especially parts of my legs.

Good – Its easy to use and works well. I have been using this product for 5 years and use it every so often. It works great on the legs and leaves a smooth finish. However I wasn't successful with my attempt at underarm hair removal using it, as the pain was far too great. It's easy and convenient the initial pain factor

Terrible – I bought this after seeing the ads for it and thought it would be a good hair removal system. I did a small patch on my leg and couldn't stand the pain, it was unbearable and it left my skin red and inflamed. My sister and mother tried it also and they had the same results. I do have thick, dark hair so that may be why it was so painful,… Read more

perhaps if you have finer hair it wouldn't be so bad. For me though it was a waste of money as it was never used. If you can tough out the pain it probably works well. Oh my god it's painful!

Good – I like the fact that you don't need to wait for your hair to grow back long, like you have to do with waxing, so it is perfect for summer months. If you hve never waxed, this would be quite painfull, however, if you are a regular waxer, this is perfect. It pays for itself in no time and can be used anywhere on your body, except your face. OK – If I had not had the fault show up after the first year of use, I would be very well satisfied with the emjoi. the emjoi any more painful - probably less. It does not work particularly well on concave areas of the body such as armpits, and parts of the bikini line, but you get there if you persist. After about a year my emjoi stopped running smoothly, the mechanism seemed to catch at times and only run at about half speed, making it very ineffective. .

Good – My best recommendation would be, use it diligently for 30 days. Really give it a chance. So many people tried it one day and returned it the next and frankly, it does take longer than that to get the best from this thing. It's a new sensation that you are putting your body through. Don't give up until you've completely done the area you bought it… Read more

for. Wait a week, and do it again. My bet is, once you finish the area and see how great it feels and then see how easy it is the second time, you'll be sold too.

I HATE to shave and I've tried nearly everything, from razors to electric shavers. Nothing compares to this. THIS matches my lifestyle (that being a lifestyle that does not involve shaving OR having hairy legs). Smooth, natural, hair-free legs DEFINITELY takes some getting used to the pain.

Good – easy easy easy. once you develop a technique, you'll wonder why it took so long to get one. I no longer suffer with itching legs as I did when I shaved. I only need to use it every 4 - 6 weeks, not every few days. Don't think this is a 'bad' thing as such but more a fact of life, but nevertheless, something to be prepared fore. It's not so emjoi gently to begin with, but the second time is easier as the hair softens.

Terrible – Given the amount of time and pain involved in actually getting your legs and underarms hair-free, I actually prefer my razor for comfort, cast and convenience over this contraption. Well, overall it does the job, and removes the hairs. Despite their advertising that it is a 'pain-free' method of hair removal, I found the pain to be really excruciating...made me cringe ever time it pulled a hair.

Good – Fantastic invention. I've saved more than 10 times its value in waxing and it does a better job. Couldn't live without it. It's gentle, painless and easy to use. And it gets really short hairs that are too short for waxing even. It can be difficult to clean out all the tiny hairs. Also the cordless version runs out of power too quick and slows down a bit, meaning less painless.

Good – I like my Emjoi SO much that I have two, one for Australia & the other kept in my suitcase for when I head overseas. Excellent – I love it, hope I will be able to get one in the very near future. Something that is less painful, but with a long hair free time, is great by me. Any product that gives long term hair free legs is great in my mind. The pain limiting is also a big yes. Yes . Yes. I can't see any bad things about this product.
