Good – I have had 2 of these units for 3 years and have had no problems with them. Ocasional re-set required ,the odd turn left into nowhere, but generally fantastic i especially like that when you zoom in to below 500ft you will then see dirt road and fire trails . and i like the speed alarm. I am about to buy my 3rd one after looking at all the current GPS units aroud.(mitac mio168 same unit) Portable versatile easy to use. You can't see fire trails when you are above 500 ft zoom.

A bit slow to pick up Sats (old tech) "Big deal" Stick out antenna

OK – Being a first time user of a pocket PC and GPS, I'm relatively happy. For anyone on the go wanting to access contacts, excel spreadsheets and word documents it is great. GPS seems to work fine, however doesn't always seem to be the most "direct" route - however this was in a familiar area to myself - in the end it got me there, which is the idea when your lost! Navmans support is next to nothing and don't expect to be working it inside out withing 10minutes - with unclear instructions and poor Navman support - I'm still learning after 1 week. Not a bad unit. Huge screen. For anyone using pocket work and excel for the first time it is surprinsling easy to navagiate around the system. GPS fix very solid even when in a moving car being held by passenger or sitting on seat without the built in antenna being fully exposed to open sky - version 3 of Austrn maps seems accurate in Townsville. Bird fix is normally quick at about 3 to 5 minutes - sometimes quicker. MP3 player is good, touch sensititavity of screen is good, charge time only about 2.5hrs - batt lasting around 6hours under normal use. Comes with w/screen holder (seems weak - havn't used). Poor support from Navman - won't return phone calls or emails. Instructions are very unclear and user is left guessing in a lot of cases. Software can be difficult to understand. 4 way toggle switch can be difficult to use accuratley. Non removable battary. Only sometimes a bird fix can take over 10 minutes. Had proplems with trsfing info to and from unit to laptop. W/screen holder is week and styles pointer also a bit on the weak side. Can't seem to read PDF files?

Good – Great intergrated solution (No seperate GPS receiver). Kits comes with carry case, memory card, all the software you need and the mounting kit for the car. Great price. Has come up with some great innovative travel routes that have shaved quite a few minutes off alot of trips. I rely on the unit entirely when driving interstate. Was excellent when driving round Melbourne for a couple of weeks last year. Does everything the other more expensive Navman products do but is also a Windows PDA which means you can sync it with Outlook, it has a diary, play MP3s, even movies (just copy the file to a SD memory card and insert it). Comes with 3D maps of all of Australia (beats buying seperate street directories for other cities when travelling). Sometimes the Navigation program mucks up and the unit needs to be reset (you don't lose any data on a reset). Maps aren't as up to date as the latest street directory. Sometimes takes a while to find satellites when switched on.
