Always Have Spare Ink – I have had good success with machine as I always have spare cartridges in case ink runs out!!! That way has made it so I have never had the problems others have had. The rule is don't run out of ink and always have refills if you do because it won't fax or print at all if you don't have have a cartridge. Multifunctions All printers use lots of ink
OK – I guess you get what you pay for & I have had value for money out of this machine. I'm not sure I would buy the same model again as it uses ink so fast & I miss not having a document feeder. Having the fax function has been great as it's not included in so many of the multifunction printers any more. Good range of functions for price range. Works well for light home office use. Print speed is fine for small documents. I've had 5+ years of reliable use out of mine. Ink use seems to be inefficient. The machine cleans itself almost every time you use it, which runs down the ink supply faster. When any one of the cartridges is empty you can't use the printer (even for black & white if one of the colours has run out). Lack of document feeder makes copying or faxing multi-page documents a bit laborious. The colour quality is now poor, even with new cartridges.
OK – Useful machine that provides several functions at a reasonable price, however, the product needs to be redesigned to reduce wastage. the need to constantly replace the ink overshadows the many positives about this particular product. the alternative is to invest in a machine with less fancy functions still gets the job done and saves you money when it comes to ink. excellent functions, asset to students poor ink usage
