Brilliant Product – I have a 2004 HDJ79 Toyota Landcruiser ute. The factory "raised air intake" is well known for not sealing very well and restricting airflow. I purchased an Armax 4 inch Safari snorkel to suit my ute and fitted it myself. Instructions were great and i had no drama fitting it. The kit comes with everything needed including a bigger inlet to be fitted to the factory airbox. Matched with a 3 inch exhaust this makes for much better throttle response and better economy.(Just have to go easy with the right foot.) I personally recon it looks great. Set the ute off nicely and is far nicer than the factory unit.

My only gripe is that they don't use the factory mounting point on the A-Pillar and require you to drill holes lower down on the A-Pillar. You can buy aftermarket brackets that use the existing factory mounting point but i didn't find this out to much later. Not using those factory mounting points, which are more solid than the 3 screws supplied by Safari is, in my opinion a design flaw. Just my 2 cents.

Other than that i love everything about it.

Purchased in at ARB for $550.

Excellent – Its designed to get fresh air into the engine - it helps fuel econemy, power, good for filtering junk out of the air and is an absalute necessity for serious offroader or for even outback adventurers Makes u look mean, good for water-wading (up to the roof) and for very dusty trails get a 4in wide blindspot, dont worry a car wont fit in it - maybe a pole though

I have a jk jeep and a mate gave me a safari snorkel , so I phoned safari snorkel for the instructions and template which I was willing to pay for and they would not help .

Australia use to be a place with people that help and all I got was a female Indian with a smart [censored word removed] attitude .

I have nothing nice to say about them because they won't help unless you buy it brand new ( great advertising )

Thanks again
