Worst Product - 100s of the same faults online - we should all get replacements – I have two of these in the house both of which are hardly used as they never work,I have used both of them 10 times in 6 years, they flash f1, top drawer has no power, bottom drawer turns on by itself in the middle of the night so I just switch the power off all together- A technition came last year after a recall and replace parts i thought that it would fix the problems - NO still useless still start beeping by themselves when not in use NOTHING They don't work
DANGEROUS! Burnt my feet when flames lept out from under unit – This was my fourth Fisher & Paykel dishwasher (had never had another brand)and had F&P washing machine, fridge and oven. Permanently put off F&P when washing machine died after five years and now dishwasher after four. Inside of oven keeps falling apart. Only happy with fridge, which is fantastic. F&P service is expensive and less than satisfactory. Especially with their monthly payment scheme once the warranty has run out - what a con! Their products used to be great, but they are clearly less diligent with their manufacturing now or they wouldn't need to be repaired so often.
Dishdrawers computerised operation was incredibly frustrating as it kept locking me out from day one. Service couldn't fix it and finally told me to live with it! Eventually motor caught on fire, with flames leaping out from under the unit. Burnt my feet and bottom of jeans, but thank goodness it was me and not kids. Also glad I was there or the whole house could have burnt down.
Loved having the two drawers because I didn't have to wait for full load and kept the kitchen organised. But now have an ASKO which uses same electricity and water as one dishdrawer cycle and bigger items fit. Having two drawers kept kitchen tidy and organised Faulty computerised operation from the outset / after four years motor caught on fire!
OK – Gets the job done (albeit in 2 separate loads). doesnt take up much space at all, and like I said, very easy to load (no bending). Probably would be better suited for a single person. It is exceptionally quiet and the dishes / glasses tend to come out sparkling clean. Overall a pretty good product, but the next time around I would get either 2 drawers or a normal sized dishwasher. Easy to load, very quiet while dishwashing, easy to use. Too small with 2 people using it. A dishwashing tablet won't fit so we have to use powder. Some of our plates are too big and it knocks the roof when closing and opening.
Pricey but quality – This was the first dishwasher we owned and I loved it. It was very quiet and I loved how I could do a load for just my husband & I in one drawer while the other remained empty. It was great for a family once kids came along with heaps of space. Quiet & economical Expensive
Bad – I have moved from the house with that dishwasher and I am not planing to put a drawer in my new house, I am going for a full size dishwasher this time! The concept is good. I got a single drawer installed with our kitchen reno as it was just the two of us and I thought later if we needed it we could get another drawer. We put our own front on it to match the cupboards which looked great as most of the controls are inside the drawer. Fairly simple to use dishwasher. Childlock is good. The size! Even for a two person household it was too small. Maybe in a kitchenette of an apartment for a single person it would be okay. I couldn't fit our dinner dishes, glasses and pots and pans from cooking in the one load. Maybe if you don't cook much it would be a good option. Made glasses etched and silver cutlery came out very scratched but that could be the powder used.
