them I would recommend another Olympus camera Good camera to take photos with in the day. Waterproof, dust proof and shock proof. The zoom on the camera is not that great and also i found taking pictures at night time a nightmare. It just couldnt do it the photos would either be to dark or blurred.

Bad – I wouldn't buy this model, the new model I recieved as a present but would not have bought it my self. By underwater housing instead if you want a waterproof camera! Nice compact camera. my camera, dropping it or leaving it out in the rain. I had the previous model of this camer which was replaced by warrenty twice The first time it took over 6 months for my camera to be returned) then finally ran out of warrenty so it couldn't be replaced. They are not as "waterproof" as they claim they are. I try not to use it in the water. This new one I have already had have replaced on warrenty within 6 months of purchasing it. It took 2 months for the camera to be fixed because the manufacturers didn't supply enough replacment parts for this model when they were manufactured.

Terrible – Does not do what it says it will - "operate under water up to 10m". I am very angry that I have lost the photos of a very special weekend and these can't be replaced. given was NOT waterproof and let water in so the retailer replaced it. The function buttons on the replacement (2nd one) stopped working so the retailer replaced it. The third one leaks !!!! I will be taking it back to the retailer today - this was the first time I had used it and have now lost all photos taken over a 'not to be repeated' holiday on the Great Barrier Reef. out on a great photo because I am not on the correct setting. The functions are not very user friendly. I wish it was a little more basic to use. Also it takes a while to scroll through the photos because the photo details appear on every photo and then take a second to disappear. It can be quite frustrating when trying to show people photos

camera I am unable to get satisfactory low light photo's. tough and water proof to 10 mts. Great day time photo's. Great underwater photo's. easily scratched and photo's inside even with the flash tend to be very grainy and of very average quality, even with the coorrect scene mode selected. No manual camera setting.

Good – I've never been an avid photographer but this is getting me going. My brother recommended it to me and a friend had the prevous model and made some great surfing movies with it. easy. Don't have to worry about dropping it in the snow, my drink, or on the rocks. It does scratch up so it's good to still be a bit careful. I does a lot of things that are a mystery to me as I'm not fabulous with manuals and it does have a few menus. I did notice the poor light problem mentioned in the other reviews but I just thought i didn't set it right. Overall happy, especially with the shockproofability. Can't break it. What else do I have to say. I'm hopeless with menus and functions so it's got too many for me. Kiss method works fine.

Excellent – I took this up to coral bay at xmas and went swimming with turtles and SHARKS great post card shots, this is what its designed for ,the kids took some shots with no stress on my behalf as i know it cant be broken easily.Would recomend it to any one that wants hassle free photos. to take photos with ,no worriesif its dropped or goobide on,this camera is for out doors mainly ,if you want good indoor shots get an other indoor camera and leave this one for us out door people .....
