Long shelf life – Straight forward and no fuss they just work and will hold their charge for months. not as cheap as some but just work . I have had some for 5+ years and they still seem to work well.

Best 'bang for buck' batteries you can get! – I have a bit of a torch / flashlight fetish & have tried several battery formats over the years. Since discovering Eneloops quite a few years ago I've sold all my non-AA torches & have gone exclusively with Eneloops. (this also makes it easy because AA's are available everywhere, try getting 18650's or CR123's at the Goroke general store!) The… Read more

combination of price, capacity, shelf-life, run-times & rechargeabilty make Eneloops unbeatable in my opinion.

I've got 24 of the older Sanyo version so I don't really need anymore (& probably never will!), but I'll have to get some of the new Panasonic one's, just because! : )

There's good reason everyone has given them 5 stars!

These Panasonic Eneloop batteries are WICKED – Have a Kodak Z990 digital camera that takes 4x rechargeable AA batteries and was very disappointed with the Duracell AA rechargeable Ni-MH I was using, get better life with Duracell Copper Top Alkaline standard batteries . Changed to Panasonic Eneloop and get at least 4 or 5 times times more picture taking. Because of this, now purchased some… Read more

Panasonic Eneloop Pro AA's that should be better still.

Where i'm most impressed with Panasonic Eneloop batteries is in my solar powered fence post lights, I'd barely get 4-5 hours from standard AAA Ni-Mh rechargeable batteries, the Eneloop are providing power from dusk to dawn, that's a good 14 hours.

I'm trying to test how long the Eneloop AAA batteries will last, but I'm struggling to flatten them, have currently illuminated the LED for 24 hours and still glowing strong. This is after trying to flatten yesterday and only charging for about 5 hours.

Unbelievable batteries, worth every cent you pay.

Eneloop batteries - the best! – I've used these batteries since they first become available in the Top End (about 2006), and am still using most of the originals. They have powered lamps and torches when I've been spotlighting (I am a birdwatching guide), and during Top End blackouts. It's pretty scary during a cyclone to have a torch fail. Eneloop batteries are reliable, and though expensive, well worth the price. I must have saved heaps on cheaper batteries. Nothing

Best NiMh batteries available to Aussie buyers! – I've finally had enough of Alkaline batteries, they are unstable, poor quality and have leaked in a multitude of items and my last item to be destroyed was a 3AA LED Maglite. So I have taken the plunge and splashed out and bought the Sanyo Eneloop 'MQR06A20A' charger and 2 packs of AA's and 2 packs of AAA's. The charger that I have is not the… Read more

standard charger like most Eneloops come pre-packaged with - this particular charger is a 3 stage charger. It has 3 functions, Standard charge 8 hours, Double charge and Triple charge, where the times are vastly quickened when you insert the batteries in a specified manner. This means you can charge 2 batteries and a third in a quick turnaround period.

The batteries come pre charged which was a nice touch - supposedly through solar power? They are the premium choice of all flashaholics around the globe (Candle Power Forums), they have a low self discharge which I haven't had the pleasure of seeing myself, but they do have a lot of power and keep pushing on with their charge. I have tested the AAA's in my LED Lenser and it has that going for far longer than the expected hourly run time that LL suggest to run on Alkalines.

From the worldwide response to the Eneloops I believe that I'll only have praise for these, I have used other NiMh batteries from Energizer and Duracell but have had nothing but painful experiences with them from self discharge issues, where they are charged and when I go to use them they are found to be flat or completely dead and cannot be recharged due to being faulty - so much for lining Duracell and Energizers pockets with fist full’s of cash for their lesser quality products that cost the same to buy!

Anyhow, the Eneloops are white in colour, some come in special colours and glitter packs which are nice, and I have noticed that their packaging on the batteries is 'mould resistant' which is interesting, but I guess it aids in storage. Eneloop have also stated that these can be stored in the fridge and have a working range from -20 to 50 degrees - so thats about appropriate here in Aus.

Paid: $31 for the Quick Multi charger - MQR06A20A (Masters Home Improvement)

$10 for 2 pack of AAA's (Dick Smith Electronics)

$20 for 4 pack of AA's (Dick Smith Electronics) Long life & extremely low self discharge, white batteries easy to find and distinguish from others, easily marked, high capacity, quickly charged and respectable holding capacity We pay a lot more than the consumers in the US - where large 4 packs of Eneloops are only $8...

Excellent – Being a bit of a Battery junkie" I put three sets of these batteries through my battery conditioner and, after 3 cycles, they were put aside for varying lengths of time. The as-delivered capacity was 1314 to 1433 mAhr, which is close to the 70 to 75% charge that they are delivered with. After cycling they topped at 1750 to 1985mAhr - a little… Read more

lower than I expected, but a few more cycles may help. After a week there was no appreciable loss of capacity compared to original, after 1 month there was a 5% drop on initial capacity, and 2 months it was 8%. Apparently as time goes on the self-discharge flattens out & gets less. I sdtill have a week to go before I doa 3 month test & then I'll try and keep the last 4 for 12 months and see how they go.

Overall they are an excellent battery, especially if you want to keep a spare set in your camera bag & use the higher capacity NiMh's normally & the eneloops as a backup, as they will remain charged for a year or more in storage. Excellent low self-discharge rating, long lasting, reasonably priced, they also include a case to store the batteries in. Lower rating than some other low self discharge batteries

Good – On paper (and initial charge) these batteries are great ! Later performance, in my case anyway, was disappointing. My conclusion is - Dont buy a digital camera that uses AA type batteries. Buy a camera that uses these mobile phone type batteries. I have another camera that uses these mobile type batteries and it just keeps going on - even… Read more ·  3

after weeks of non-use. I bought a set of 4 AA together with SANYO USB and mains recharger. When I received them they performed fantastically in my digital camera. At last rechargeable batteries that actually work well. My initial amazement that they were great quickly ran out when later recharges (using both USB and mains rechargers) began to be less amazing.

Sometimes straight from a full charge I was getting 'Replace Batteries' (an old enemy of mime - when using other batteries and chargers) immediately.

I keep the batteries paired so always using/charging the pair.

If someone can explain what I'm doing wrong - please do.

Excellent – These are my go to choice for almost all our battery needs. The great thing about these and other low discharge batteries is they hold their charge when just sitting around. Similar to alkaline batteries while most rechargeable batteries are all but flat a month out of the charger. Tested a number of Eneloops after a year of regular use and on… Read more ·  3

average their capacity was 95% of the original capacity or higher. All similarly treated from other brands had lost 10% of their capacity or more. ready to use from the pack, hold charge for months, retains capacity after many recharges, honest capacity rating. not as high capacity as traditional NiMH batteries.

Excellent, trusted batteries from a reliable manufacturer – Sanyo eneloops and Powerex Imedions are my preferred slow discharge batteries. The Eneloop name is well known amongst people who appreciate reliable low-discharge batteries as these batteries (unlike regular NiMH) batteries do tend to hold their charge for months on end. Ideal for remotes, wireless laptop mice, torches and almost anything you can think of. I've never had a problem with these batteries. It's a battery. And a very good one!  Show 3 replies

Excellent – all i really want to say is i use a dicksmith charger and it works fine on the eneloop ,its a slow charger ,takes hours but thats ok, point is you dont need sanyo charger. eneloop makes that other highly advertised brand an absolute joke.second best nickel metal hydride ive had is the dse orange ones .about half as good as the eneloop.so go out… Read more

Good – These batteries are enviromentally friendly. I have been told that they can only be recharged in an eneloop charger, but i am not sure if this is true. You can buy the charger and four batteries in a pack for $30. They also don't take very long to charge on this charger. Overall they are a great battery if you also have the eneloop charger and are… Read more ·  1

using them in your digital camera. Lasts 4.4 times longer than standard rechargable batteries in digital cameras. When not in use they do not loose their charge as quickly as other rechargable batteries.
