Pros:
i think australia post is quite reliable and usually quite fast, we have our local post office open saturdays which is perfect, i havent had anything damaged yet so that a plus
Cons:
everything to post out is getting so expensive that sometimes its not worth sending things, have had a few parcels lost and nothing was done about it unless it was registered then a refund was paid so thats a plus
Overall:
overall i suggest everyone register their parcels as they are then covered for loss or damage, our courier is great and friendly and i am happy with the courier service in our area

Pros:
convienient - where I live there is a post office open on a Saturday.
Cons:
getting expensive for letters but cheaper than a courier for some parcels
Overall:
I have been using a courier from country QLD to my place for 4 years & they kept putting up there fees even an extra $20 to pick up from a drop point in QLD so the courier did not have to go to the farm - then an extra $20 to be delivered to me because they class me out of area. I was told by the people in QLD to try Australia Post so I did - the people dropped the box - horse semen - off at their post office & I got it overnight express to my post office next day 9am ready for me to pickup - the cost was half the courier & actually quicker.
I will be using them for this season as well.

Pros:
conveniently located stores, delivery to letter box or door everyday
Cons:
price keeps going up!
Overall:
When you think about it it is amazing the job they do, getting our mail to us every day. However my sister in London gets her mail from our mother at the same time as I do. I live in Perth, and Mum is in Victoria. That is very ordinary. When I used to live in Country WA my sister would get her mail up to 3 days earlier. So they do offer a very slow service. Their express service is great though, and I get parcels delivered to my door.
