goodwill and that we needed to sleep in the middle of the mattress! Now, in just under 4 months it’s sagging again. I’ve emailed requesting a full refund and removal of the mattress but don’t expect a favourable reply. If I do hear differently from them, I will post it here.

Love it! – I bought my Kingsdown body system in 2006, yes 10 years ago! It is the most comfortable mattress I have ever slept on so much so it's hard to sleep in any other bed. Even our house sitters and guests have commented on how comfortable it is. It's had 5 house moves in 10 years incredibly durable and still as comfortable as ever! No plans on buying another one anytime soon but when we do it will be a Kingsdown.  Show reply

Poor quality product and warranty – I reported that the mattress had started to come away from the frame and was sagging. This is the worst mattress on the market – It's only comfortable for about 4-5 years, then you get back aches and a sore neck. it sags, you roll of the side of the bed eventually (and I only weight 65kg). Never honoured their warranty – Purchased a love to sleep from Captain Snooze and the warranty was for 10 years, we've had it for 8 years and its significantly damaged. When claiming for the warranty and sending the photos they required they said the sag on both sides need to be 3 inches our bed was two inches. contacted Snooze Claremont they directed us to Kingsdown. Kingsdown asked for a whole pile of photos and then told us the base we had the mattress on was the wrong one and they would not honour the warranty despite the base being recommended by Snooze.

After several weeks of back and forth Kingsdown agreed to collect the mattress and repair it as Snooze took away the base and provided us with a base as recommended by Kingsdown. When the mattress came back from repairs it only lasted for a few weeks before it started to collapse again. Kingsdown sent out inspectors to look at it and they wanted to repair it again. By this point I had had enough and stood by ground to get a full refund on the mattress. I have to say, thank goodness for Snooze in O'Connor who took over the issue as Claremont Snooze and Kingsdown just gave us the runaround.

We now have a completely different mattress from a different company which was the same price as the Kingsdown product but so much better.

I would not go anywhere near a Kingsdown product but do thank them for finally refunding the cost of the product.

requires enormous effort and often required waking up to do so . Have had increasingly bad sleeps for several years and only persisted as we had paid so much for the bed .

Worst bed we have ever had – After only weeks it starts to sag, dip and ridge. Massive effort required to get "up the hill" to the centre of the bed makes it a form of restraint. Please read – I have lower back fusion and my wife has hip problems so we tried a lot of expensive mattresses with all sorts of padding material used and for me I could tell within 5 minutes of lying on a bed if my lower back was going to love it or hate, and my back hated most of them except this Kingsdown System 5 (their stiffest) mattresses in particular. … Read more ·  2

After 2 weeks of laying on it my back has yet to complain. I'm a side sleeper and my wife is a stomach sleeper if that matters. Everyone is different so you have to try different mattresses but for us this one worked the best. Obviously we haven't had it yet for the long term so if any issues come up I'll report back, but right now it's as good as it gets. The mattress is also very well constructed with no sloping whatsoever, it's one of the best we found. By the way this is not a mattress you flip over to the other side you can only turn it end to end.

Very poor but has been relaced twice – We bought our green/green Myside mattress in late 2009. It was too soft from the start and by mid 2010 had sunk retaining a 40mm dip to the centre, meaning we rolled together waking each other thru the nite. Penrith Snooze assisted with Kingsdown to replace it in 2010 with a blue /blue matress. Gradually this mattress developed sag to the centre… Read more

too, but it also had a stiff band 250mm down each side leaving 1m for us to sleep in. Again Snooze Penrith advised us to fill out Kingsdown Forms, plus photos which then propted their representitive to come out to assess the situation. It was agreed sleeping like this was not acceptable and agreed to offer a credit back to Snooze, as we did not want anothe Myside. Penrith Snooze assisted in choosing a Maddison Times Square which was swapped over at our convenience. This is why you get a 10year warranty, and the service we received excellent. We also bought new pillows which compliment the new mattress and these are MySide foam and are really great like the new mattress. We understand there have been changes for the better for Myside, they would need to based on our experience. Service from Snooze Penrith and Myside was Good Poor quality, did not meet manufacturers stated expectations

Has made my back even worse – This so called wonderful bed has made the last couple of years hell and now booked in for a back operation - do not buy this bed if you even have a slight bad back. Also turning the mattress over is impossible need at least 3 people to turn it over. Don't waste your money Comfortable for the first 2 months then it went down hill from there

Very uneven mattress

Don't let Snooze rip you off – We paid a fortune for our Kingsdown mattress and my husband 12 months ago, now we have started looking for a new one as this has given us both bad backs, we can't get a good night sleep. My husband prefers to sleep on the floor instead (we have wooden floors), Seriously, how can they continue to sell these, this is disgusting. Expensive, damagine to spine.

The most comfortable bed I ahve ever slept on – We had a Kingsdown for some years until my wifes medical condition required an electric bed. I am about to purchase a single Kingsdown mattress. with new mattress. Couldn't understand why - put it down to new mattress and just had to get used to it. 3 months later we returned to the Snooze store to complain about the dipping in the bed. They told us this was normal and the mattress was conforming to our body. Anyone would think I was on the large side with the dip that was being left in the mattress each morning when I tried to drag myself over the side hump to get out of bed - but I am quite normal build. My partner on the other hand is sleeping on the "penthouse Suite" as we call it as he is up so much higher from myself. You cant have a cuddle as the difference in sides is enormous. Kingsdown just put it down to being "Normal" dipping - umm I have never had a mattress (even the last one which I had for 11 years was only just beginning to dip) that dipped so badly after 6 months. The dip is 5cm after all day of none being in the bed which may not sound much but I assure you as soon as your body weight is back on that mattress the dip is probably more like 20cm. We have the correct base and linen...and a year later are still fighting with Kingsdown. Time for a Current Affairs program I think and I will begin at consumer affairs because we Paid $5200 on sale for this piece if rubbish! Would never recomend anyone to buy this system ever. I now visit a chiropractor every 3 days!

Uncomfortable, one side firmer than the other (even though I ordered the same on both sides). Followed all recommendations given to me by Snooze, use 40cm drop sheets, etc. Still so very uncomfortable and not pleasant to sleep on. Also, a very heavy mattress to move with no side handles to assist.

Bought another mattress elsewhere for $700 - lovely. Don't be fooled by the experience in store. It's heavy to lift & rotating is almost impossible. Have slept in sleeping bags & hammocks that are more comfortable.

Cannot be slept on for an extended period

Great bed for the first 4-6 weeks, but after that – It was really comfy in the store, great for the first month or so, but then you realise, slowly but surely, its TERRIBLE. It overheats, it sags in the middle, and you wake with aches and stiffness. Don't be fooled by its plushness. I assumed that if I was spending that much on a mattress is HAD TO be great. Terrible – The bed gets worse every night. We can't cuddle each other as we sink too far . I weigh 85kg and my wife is 67kg. So we are not big and the bed that their computer said would suit us just gets weaker every night. After 2 months we have to sleep as far away from each other so we can have some sort of support. within a few days the old aches and pains re-appeared. For the money paid all we really got was a very expensive hard rubbish item that is scheduled for kerb side collection. Looks good and that's about it. Have the QS Blue Body System Ensemble Uncomfortable, does not support the body any where near enough. The computer fitting system is a load of hokey-don't fall for the salesmen's pitch. The bed humps up in the middle and sags at the edges when you sit on it.
