Running strong for 13 years – This dishwasher has served us well for 13 years. Until now the control box got water in it. Can easily be replaced. Quick wash would normally suffice after giving dishes a quick wipe with paper towel to remove heavy gimme. Otherwise normal wash would do the trick. Or model says made in Germany. The best thing about it if that it is so simple… Read more

to use. Choose 1 of 4 programmes and that's it. Don't need to spend minutes working out what options to choose.

Nothing but grief and finally time to bury this lemon – From the word go this dishwasher has never worked properly, mid cycle we would have banging/knocking sounds and have to try and push down all parts as parts became loose, will be so glad to see the back of this scourge in my life. Technicians were never able to rectify issues and made me feel like a crazy woman. Never really cleaned properly unless was on 'Heavy' setting. F&P will never grace our house again. Look

Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher Lemon – In January 2007, we purchased a Fisher & Paykel Dishwasher as we have used this well known and reputable brand for many years never having a problem with them. This machine first broke down weeks outside the warranty period. The machine stops it's cycle and the reset button flashes, the machine can sometimes be coaxed into a new cycle but over… Read more

time this ability has ceased to be an option.

We call the company and they send a repair man who has never given us a satisfactory answer as to what is causing the problem. We have had one part replaced 3 times, at about $200 a visit, in an effort to rectify the problem, it has not solved it.

The last time this happened we decided not to spend any more money on this machine. Since the last visit of the technician I have had many conversations with the service department of Fisher & Paykel. They have not been helpful, today I was offered a whopping $50 off the purchase price of a new machine.

The original machine cost $850 in January 2007, it has only run on average about 3 times a week and we rinse dishes prior to loading the washer. Given our service history I told them I was not happy with this offer and would never buy another Fisher & Paykel appliance and that I would tell all my friends of my experience.

Bought a Lemon!

big waste of money – I bought a fisher and paykel dishwasher 2 years ago and have had nothing but trouble. In 2 years this dishwasher has been out of action more times than I've had hot dinners and the service agent at the time coffs electrical appliances proved to be nothing but rude hurling abuse at my husband like some yobbo. A most disappointing appliance from such… Read more

Terrible – Don't like it, and won't buy F & P stuff again. Unreliable, cheap and doesn't wash all that well. Also quite expensive for what they are. Not a lot except it does run quietly Will only wash dishes reasonably if you put it on "Heavy" setting all the time. This is twice we bought a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher and twice we ended up with repairs and… Read more

inconvenience. I both cases a new pump was needed, and the second pump only lasted a year or two before packing up again when the warranty had run out. I will avoid this brand in future.

Terrible – useless as a dishwasher, have owned it for 4 years, have to hand wash most of the load after use even in heavy wash cycle, doesn`t dry so have to hand dry everything, sometimes it dosen`t even want to work at all, intend replacing it asap when I can afford a new one, only recommend this brand to people you don`t like, will never buy another F&P… Read more

Ordinary Dishwasher – We bought this model as it was nice and basic and we'd had an old Fisher and Paykel that washed very well. This dishwasher does the job to an extent but the filters block quickly and butter isn't washed off the knives on a normal wash. I find my self having to clean and deoderize the dishwasher regularly. We has temporary use of an ASKO dishwasher… Read more

in an apartment and that was far superior. Trusted brand, good price. Doesn't wash butter off knives.

Terrible – Very unreliable. Has an intermittent fault that often clears up when technician arrives, but comes back when we have a housefull of people to clean up afterward. Looks the part but noisy. Never buy F&P again. Looks good & cutlery drawer in good place Very unreliable. Luckily we paid for extended warranty so technician is coming out again today to… Read more

try and fix problem of stopping after first rinse with flashing light. Have had this problem off and on for over three years. After warranty runs out next problem will see it go. Noisy.

Bad – I have to say I don't like this product. There is no heat dry option that you can choose to dry the dish, plates and bowls. I have to hand dry them one by one. It's a bit of to my surprise when I first use it and take out all the wet plates, bowls and cups with water still attached to them. In my previous apartment the dish washer has auto dry… Read more

function. I can simple take out the dishes and ready to use. and that washing machine has high temperature option as well which can be used to really clean the dishes, particularly useful during flu season when you try to use this function as part of disinfection. Nothing particularly. It was installed and came as part of the new apartment.

Terrible – I was told not to buy Fisher and Paykel. Should have listened. cost of 3 repairs just about equalled a new one. Worked perfectly for 2 years Must have an inbuilt breakdown mechanism
