Used it for about 10 years – Can’t remember how many years I have used mine, I would say about 10 years, and I really like it. Easy to install and easy to refill. The plastic lever that turn between filter and unfiltered water finally broke last year. Could not buy a replacement so bought the advanced one instead. It is even better than the old one because of the new shower function. The only bad thing is filter refill is not cheap. Show details

Don't waste your money – I bought On Tap in Bunnings at the end of July, it was great to begin with, then it trickled out with nearly 300 litres left, so thought I would try a new filter. Only registered 399 litres when first connected, once again went to trickle with over 100litres left. I have been using Brita water systems for years, this new one is a dud. Show details

Better tasting than spring water! – I’m surprised by the one star reviews on the Brita on tap filter - they seem to be complaining about the unit leaking. The instructions specifically state “DO NOT USE TOOLS TO TIGHTEN the plastic screw joiner to the Fawcett” - It is meant for hand tightening ONLY! I wonder how many of these 1 star reviewers had actually read and obeyed these… Read more

instructions?

I find the filter works great and our Adelaide tap water now tastes better and softer than the 10 litre spring water containers that we were buying and carting home at a cost of some $500 a year.

Easy to install and no need for messy under sink plumbing and the unit is portable (if you’re a renter or on holidays, etc.,).

There is a lever you slide to use either filtered or unfiltered water.

When using filtered water there’s a neat green 3 LED lighting system that flashes on & off and also indicates when it’s time to change the filter unit (.... after some 1,200 litres).

All in all - a great little water filter!

Awesome – I am so happy with this pdoduct. Easy to install and to replace filter. Ive been using it for about a year now and my water tastes great. The lights changed colour to tell me to replace filter and it was so easy. Show details

Cost effective and effective – I've had the unit for about a year now, and been through a couple of filter changes. I brought this as the Brita jug didn't cut it for taste in the new area we moved to. I'm always shocked at the colour of the filter when I change it. The new one is white as can be, the old is brown. This is just from Melbourne city tap water. It makes you wonder… Read more

what it's filtering out.

Compared to the old model, the filters use far less plastic which is good to see. Filters replacements aren't too expensive, about $54 for a twin pack from Bunnings from memory, and they last 3 months. The taste of the dispensed water is great, not a hint of chlorine or unpleasant taste. It also has a water saving aerator for the unfiltered water.

I'm still renting at the moment, so this filter is perfect. You can just remove it from the tap and take it with you. I was sceptical with the quality judging from other reviews on here, but time will tell. The only thing I wish for is that in came in black to match my tap ware.

Great product – Neighbors were pulling dirt coloured water from their kitchen, we were drinking great tasting water. Will have to buy a few fittings to alleviate the height problem of getting under the tap. Otherwise, thanks brita, unreal product. I recommend this tap add on in all households for a ease of mind and to promote the disuse of bottled water.  Show details

Useless product - DO NOT BUY – This filter worked perfectly for 3 weeks before it started to spew water from the tap base, then suddenly it just started dispensing water so slow I could walk out side for 8 - 10 minutes and the kettle was still only half filled. I asked Brita several times and they just said it must be our water and to replace the filter. At $39 for 4 weeks… Read more

thats not going to happen. Nice try to get more sales on filters. I would not suggest anyone buy any Brita products nor bother with The Australian Customer service, they only pass the buck and blame your water.

what a waste of money – Had few, none last for more than 6 months. Water starts to leak after a few months. it is good, has a difference in taste in the water but I think a defect in the design. Show details

These are junk – I have purchased two of these. I bought the second one as I thought that maybe I was doing something wrong and that is why the first one broke. No, they are just junk. In both Filters, after around a months use, it will begin to leak slightly. Take note, as at a random time, the whole thing will explode off the tap and spray water all through your… Read more

kitchen. Aside from this massive defect in the product, it did filter water very well, however for $60+ I expected it to go the distance for a bit longer.

My advice would be to look at other solutions for water filtration, particularly if you have decent water pressure at home as I think that is what is the cause of its undoing. I have now bought a benchtop filter and will never bother with anything Brita again - overpriced and poorly designed

Good quality filtered water – Have been using this on tap filter for almost 2 years now. Water tastes clean and crisp and non-metallic compared to the straight Brisbane tap water. Never had a problem with the unit leaking as mentiones in other reviews. Each filter lasts between 2 to 3 months in this household. Show details

Useless Product - Please don't buy... waste of money – I bought Brita WD3030 under sink water filter, the time we bought we had lots of issues and its still continuing till today. Useless customer service they don't reply to your emails or calls. Just because of brand unknowingly I bought this product. I would suggest Please don't buy this product. you will get product in the market with less cost and some 10 years warranty with good customer service. Show details

German quality? German design? Rubbish! – Concept is great, implementation is not. The main problem is that after a couple of months, the plastic swivel part on the tap connector wears and is no longer held in place by the compression clip. It just starts spurting water (as complained about in other reviews) and eventually just falls off. Brita have no spare parts (on their web site). Show details

Easy to operate , water tasts good and cost effective – Brita on tap I have used them for years from the old complex to operate to the most current model. The most current model is really easy to install no need any tradies and the filter is soOOO easy to replace. You can easily buy the products from the chemists/supermarket ..etc. Very economic to operate. Quality of the water is good I prefer them… Read more

over the water that sold from the shops. One note to remember though when changing the filter turn right on the cap and turn towards the left at the bottom of the housing. Hard to remember these instructions need to check the menual each and every time. The replacement filter's package instructions are not quite clear on what to do, also it does not mention the battery model and how long you need to let the water go before it is good to use. Could not seemed to find the Ytube about the replacement filter of the latest Brita on tap model . Just change my filter now it is ready to EnJoy!

WD3020 - Worse service – WD3020 - worked ok initially. Now started spraying water everywhere. Numerous exchange of email not did not go anywhere. Now the product is no longer manufactured. Lesley from customer service wants me to sell another products rather then replace. Would never recommend Brita to anyone. Show details

WD3020. Brita 3 way tap system – WD3020. Concept good. Worked fine for 4 years. Then pipe began to leak and corrode at the first bend. Chrome is peeling. Rang and was told that it was reasonable for corrosion of the chrome pipe after four years. She seemed to think that a 20 year life was totally unreasonable. The metal pipe and chrome work are clearly of very poor quality. I thought that by paying more I would get something that would last. Wrong!  Show details

Disappointing decrease in quality – We've used a Brita on tap system for many years, for years at a time and we really like the water quality. However, we've had to return units 3 times in the last year, the last one only lasted 3 weeks. Same problem, terrible leaking from the tap attachment despite us restricting the volume of water flow. Very disappointing how bad the quality has become. Now researching alternate products for the first time in over 15 years.  Show details

Biggest waste of money ever!!! – Was really happy with this water filter for about 2 months then noticed it started to leak water from a few different places which very quickly turned into spraying water absolutely everywhere over my kitchen, it was completely unusable for the filtered side and the normal sink. Complete rubbish – Had the under sink 3 in one system installed with new kitchen. prove it had been installed correctly and that the pressure value was attached and the water was dripping they sent a new system and then a plumber arrived to install it. He messed around under the sink for over an hour before informing my husband that he’d have to remove the sink to get the mixer off. My husband who is a motor mechanic by trade took one look handed him a screw driver and a pair of multi grips and instructed him on how to undo the large screw. It’s been less than a year and now this mixer is faulty also, water pours out from both outlets at the same time. Even though this product is still under warranty it’s going in the bin where it belongs complete rubbish.

DISAPPOINTED - WASTE OF MONEY – I bought this from Bunnings and within 4 months of using it, the connection would leak and spit everywhere when I could run water through it. I called up the manufacturer and they said that due to physical damage its not covered! So furious, its now in the bin. I hope they discontinue this product and save people the headache of buying it  Show details

Garbage- no parts – No Bunnings, plumbing or gas fitter can have any adapters for this. It won’t fit any taps. Don’t risk it. That’s why every Bunnings has opened boxes of it. The thread is Sone unusual type that won’t fit modern taps w what they give you. Not a good idea! Argh  Show details

Junk – Really disappointed BRITA. Same problem as everyone else. Fitting connectors weak and cracked after a few months. Stop being cheap and make fittings out of metal. This would definitely help with such a terrible product. Wish i had read reviews first, won't be purchasing BRITA products again. Also make sure friends won't either.  Show details

Serious design fault – I only used it for about three months and water starts to leak/shoot out from the gap where the flicking handle is. Totally waste of money. The unit itself also becomes very heavy as water gets into the filter and weighing the entire tap down. I would not recommend this product.  Show details

Do Not Waste your money – Bought the brita 3 in 1 mixer tap last year and it has gone wrong 3 times, water pours out of filter system while running normal water. They have fixed it twice but now happened a third time. Not worth the $360 paid.I suggest there is a fault with this item.  Show details

Stiff SANO tap – The tap became stiff fairly quickly. Over the many months I had Brita "engineers" back and forth and replacement taps. I have become fed up with the lousy product which eventually damaged the hole in the worktop through over tightening. Poor product - poor service. I have asked for my money back but so far without success. Personally I doubt there is a good reason for water filters.  Show details

Customer Service – Although my filter unit gave me hassles (due to abnormally high water pressure at my rental) my review is to thank Brita for their customer service. BRITA Tap WD 2030 model the complete answer!? – Bought this model Tap Sept 2014, worked OK until March 2016 then it decided to let water flow from both Filter and normal sides at same time. Called service, went through Q&As basically trying to find out if it was installed incorrectly and /or the water pressure too high. Sent photos on request and other evidence that water pressure was not an… Read more

issue, pressure regulator was already installed at the water main, a decision made to send a Plumber. A new WD 2030 system was installed by their Plumber in March. Nov 2016 the Tap unit failed again, same problem. Have contacted Service for repair /replacement under warranty which is supposed to be lifetime if faults are involved. Initially I was impressed with the system, BUT at a cost of some $360 for the unit with 6 mths life cartridge selling at $80 a time you would expect a flawless operation. The tap looks impressive, the chrome is thick and so am I for buying. You do sacrifice water pressure at the sink on the hot/ cold side but thought the convenience made up for that. I note that some people are reporting split plastic tubing, have yet to experience that, I think! So if you are thinking of buying then my advice DON'T. I'm on the verge of throwing the lot in the bin and going back to good old "normal" . Just buy Spring Water it works out cheaper and less frustrating.

Of interest I initially gave this product a thumbs up. Very impressed at the time. But time always tells!

Good at first, bad over time – Had always used filtered systems for as long as I can remember, mostly the jugs so a year ago decided to go for an on tap system. Went for the brita as I use the jugs in the past. At first was great and easy to use but after 3 months water started to spray from one of the seals. Replaced the seal but still leaked so took it back for a replacement.… Read more

The new replacement went well but again after 3 months leaked from the same spot and discovered it actually had a small crack in the plastic, so back again for another replacement. This time it lasted a bit longer 5 months then started leaking from a different spot and would spray water whenever using filtered or unfiltered water. Changed all the seals but with no success. Result it went in the bin and back to using filter jugs.

Working perfectly! – I was very worried after reading all the bad reviews here since I've already ordered one online through Brita. It arrived today and I put it on my tap, and it's working perfectly! I'm so pleased with it. Make sure to replace the rubber seal (from old seal that's in the tap to the new one that's provided in the package).. Mine was leaking until I realised I needed to replace it.  Show details

Waste of money! Leaks! – Bought this to help save money (were buying 2 19L Gibson soak bottles a week) but after 2 weeks we have to bin it. Sprays water out everywhere from just below the bit that screws onto the tap. We've tried everything to fix it. Kicking myself I didn't keep the receipt. Could not turn tap off – Attached it to the tap as shown (by a very experienced person in plumbing). Went on easy. Turned the tap on. Worked perfectly. THEN TRIED TO TURN THE TAP OFF. Totally flawed design – Old style filter was fab. New filter leaked from the moment we first used it - first back through the tap thread. Taped that. Then from where the housing meets the tap joiner! normal tap flows. Besides that, said tiny pin hole gets half blocked by the intake design. Upon calling to discuss, Brita said "we've sold more than 10,000". Guess what Brita? I don't care...cos your design does not reliably work. I'm off to buy another brand, and not coming back.

Bad product and terrible service – In the 20 months I've had this tap it has been fixed once, replaced completely and the handle has just fallen off the new one. I will now spend the weekend without water in my kitchen despite repeated attempts to get Brita to get a plumber out for a job the rep told me is so simple I could do it myself. Save yourself a lot of trouble and don't buy Brita

3 months and 2 days old – Exactly 3 months and 2 days old, bought new filter to replace the old one. Just before the cartridge opened, you wanted to drink a glass of water and it burst all over the place. You were still new to this stuff, thought maybe because it was time to change the new filter. Replaced with new one, again, water sprayed all over the place. It took your time for the effort but it rewarded you nothing.
