Good – Pretty good buy, I haven't had any of the complaints registered above. I've been using it without any glitch whatsoever for over 30 months now. Ease of use When hard disk is nearing capacity, the system takes about 90 seconds to be ready. programmes dubbed on dvd cannot be played on other players.

Terrible – Don't go here. Buy something else. Anything else. It just isn't worth the angst of the product not working correctly most of the time from new and then losing the product for several weeks every month or 2 over and over again. Doesn't matter what dvd I use. It went back and forward to the repairer 5 times until we were told that they will never replace the deck or give a refund, and just do the repairs until the 3 year warranty is used up - "merchantable quality" is a myth with these guys.

Terrible – anyone who has a remote to sell for one please let me know that would be great my email is [email address removed] easy to use had no probs until my remote stopped working and universal remote doesnt work on it so it is completly unsueable now

Terrible – Very disappointed. I have sworn never to buy LG again. Have gone out and bought a Sony to replace it with as in the past I've had no problems with Sony.Now trying to get saved programs from hard drive and it won't go past please wait at start up.Overall a Loada Garbage None Like nothing about this product 1) Locking up 2) sound out of sync 3) Won't recognise disks The list goes on

Terrible – It is in for the third repair, I hope it is terminal & it dies under warranty testing so I can get something else instead. Last LG purchase for me. easy features worked well for 18 months defective & faulty - de-synched audio/video after 18 months, massive pixellation on the playing back of recorded TV from the HDD. So much time wasted taking it for warranty repairs.

Terrible – I will never buy an LG player again! Oh and it is going in for repairs AGAIN! When the warranty is out It will be cheaper for me just to replace it with another brand than to continue repairing it. I see from other reviews that this is a common problem. Buyer beware! Stores alot of movies on the hard drive, easy to use. Great for the first 3 months. Had this unit for 18 months now and repaired a few times. Does not recognise some original DVD's so the movies just can not be watched, annoying!! Records out of sync, voice follows seconds later. Unit freezes/locks up, have to turn off unit at powerpoint to restart it. It takes too long to turn on, annoying when there is something that I want to record on the tv in within the minute.

Bad – Can this machine be used as the Digital Set top box? NO, I didnt think so! How do i connect the DSTB, the HDD recorder and the TV. My TV is LG 142cm 100hz Rear Projection mod. RT-56NZ23RB series. The TV has been awesome. The HDD recorder is not in the system. I have recorded and played back short sections over the last few years. HELP looks OK havnt been able to incorperate it into my system

Terrible – For once, a 3 yr warranty is a minus. Maybe i won't wait till Jan '10 to throw it in the bin & buy a reliable brand. Was cheap when bought it Jan '07. Very easy to use ... when it works! started freezing when recording or mid playback. Got repaired under warranty with new MP3 unit. Put up with another 12 months of occasional freezes, but then it started to simply reboot midway through things. Finally took it back 2 months ago because it just kept giving the "Please wait" sign for hours & only occasionally starting - giving enough time to get valued recordings onto a blank DVD.

Within 1 day after getting it back the whole constant rebooting & rarely actually starting routine. Back again to LG repairer 45 mins drive away. He kept it 2 wks & couldn't find what's wrong - "Bring it back any more probs" ... got it home & still only randomly starts.

Terrible – Our player was excellent for the first twelve months then it stopped recognising dvd's then the programs we were recording became out of sync with the voices about 1/2 a second behind the picture. Very annoying to watch. ease of recording programs Life span
