Pros: Not much to worry when installing a DFX8500 printer. If you're using Windows, it would probably detect and install it quickly without the aid for any additional drivers. Windows already has it on it's installer. Just plug-in your parallel port and your already hooked up to print from a few pages to a hundred ones.

Cons: Uses the conventional way to connect to your computer: via parallel port. Old technology, if that's it. A lot uses USB or Firewire these days.

Overall: Make ultra-fast prints with a DFX8500 printer. Easy on the cartridge. Can be connected to a wired environment via parralel port. Some uses KVM's.
