HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One

Terrible – Terrible printer, absolute garbage. inks are not waterproof, rolls up multiple sheets and mix up the printing order. color ink catridges cant even last for two weeks. mac users will hate it as the mac driver does not support duplex printing, and the development will not even bother to implement it! when u print duplex for more than 5 pages, 40% chances it will roll up multiple sheets and hence mix up the printing order.

Good – The HP Photosmart C5180 is a great 3 in 1 machine. It is very compact, feels sturdy and looks good in the home office. It tests itself upon startup and this causes some noise and a few seconds of wait before it is ready for use, but after that the machine will scan very quickly (with a variety of DPI settings possible) and the print quality is very high when set to fine printing, even when i used the standard paper you can get from anywhere. With the photo paper the prints are nigh indistinguishable from store baught photos. It has FAX, Scan and printer capabilities in a small size. Inks can be a bit expensive (you can refill to save costs here, even though its not recommended)

Good – Good quality multi-function printer/scanner/copier at a relatively cheap price. Per page printing costs are comparable with products from other manufacturers. Photo print quality is terrific. An improvement, despite the lack of Fax, on my Lexmark multifunction. Great quality printing, easy installation. Reads camera and other media cards and allows transfer to computer. Front panel is great for off-line copying. Slow to start up when first turned on. Can't find any fax capability, Ink cartridges are expensive and not able to be refilled, but at least each colour can be replaced separately. Won't work on my wireless LAN.

Terrible – The printer died on it's first scan. I then spent an hour and a half on the computer and then the phone with HP. They sold me a $79 extened warrentee. I figured that since it didn't work out of the box, what will happen in a year or two. It was an hour and a half of my life that I will never get back. Next time I will select Epson or Canon. It appeared on my Mac ethernet network immediately. I made one great print and then it died on it's first scan...

Excellent – Superb quality printer,Exceptional quality,and the best in it's class,The added benifit of economical printing means ink cartridges last longer. Quick copy,and scan.Very well priced. Economical on ink,Superb print quality,Exceptional Photo printing.
