Still using this in 2022 – I bought this microwave in 2007, it was the cheapest one at the store. It's had light daily usage since I mostly use it for warming plates and cups, and reheating leftovers. It's still going, with two problems that don't stop it from working. The first is the enamel has worn through at a spot on the door where I think it touches against the body of the microwave. The second is that it now makes a bit of a grumbling noise that I think is related to the motor and turntable. Neither has stopped it from working yet. The only downsides to this microwave are ones that relate directly to the price range. It's only 800W so it takes longer to do anything than the more expensive, higher wattage models. It's only 23 litres so it won't fit every single thing that you may like to put in there. Both of these are reasonable trade-offs if you are on a budget or never intend on using it for more than one person. It seems to heat food reasonably evenly, which is very good considering it's an entry level model of microwave. Has more functions and buttons than I ever needed to use, but was easy to just get it going in comparison to some microwaves that are not very intuitive. If you just press the start button it will give you an automatic 30 seconds. If you keep pressing it it will keep adding 30 seconds. How quick and easy is that?!
Purchased in at The Good Guys for $120.
OK – This LG-23L is a good microwave in that price range. I used to have a LG-19L at $98 which was the cheapest I can find. This time, I'll buy a commercial quality microwave if I can afford it, probably a 1200W-30L. I bought this LG at Betta Electric at only $120. It has nice appearance and clear Start, Stop & Auto Defrost buttons which I mostly use. It's only 800W so it doesn't heat the food as quickly as commercial microwaves, but it is ok. Auto Deforst function is great and I've never overheated my frozen meat. It runs a bit noisier than my mom's Toshiba. I can hear the sound from my bedroom when my friend cook at night. The Start buttons worsen after 2 years, and the unit suddenly stop working after 2 years and 7 months without any sign. Fuse replacement doesn't help so I'll buy a new one.

Thanks for the 5* review! It's great to hear the microwave has lasted you a whopping 15 YEARS and it's still going for only $120 at the time. :) —Raymond
