long, if you used a exchange cartridge it complained that it was empty all the time, warm up time is around 2 minutes which made me leave it on all the time and its likely that it led to its demise as its now failed with an electrical smell after 8 years of service which is not a bad run. I’m sure technology has improved although I can’t I had paper jams or poor quality prints from this machine, it has done a good job and if it’s repairable I will keep using it although would switch it off after use.
Bad – just for the paper jambing issue i rate printer at the bottom level of the scale so use high qualaty paper if it has a slight defect or crease discard great printer when working if paper jambs your in trouble very hard to remove & when you finaly get it out it throw the whole pinter out of wack and take a very long time to get back work ing again
should be called "bob marley" because constantly Jamming !!
Good – This is a great little multi function unit! I got this at office works for a bargain price and it goes really hard. I've even printed out some great black and white pictures of my son that came up beautifully!! Doesn't take up a lot of space. Easy to use. Compatible with Mac and PC. It can be quite noisy. It's not the best quality scanner. All the plugs and the power switch at the back are in hard to reach places.
Good – Nice black and white laser printer that won't break the budget. Good for the home office with fax, scan, copy and print. Solid performer. Good budget laser printer for home office, print quality good. Fax and copy functions all work well Scanning software could be improved. A bit noisy, toner cartridge expensive - but can easily buy compatibles.
Good – We got this from Officeworks at a bargain. Overall the machine is fantastic and is not expensive to run. The machine also comes with both Mac & PC driver, makes like easy for me as a Mac user. Relatively fragile flatbed scanning glass. Be careful when photocopying a book, the weight of the book might spoil the glass. The machine is a bit noisy when operating.
Good – Overall fantastic. At imes this printer is required to print 100's and 100's of pages at a time and we have not had any problems with it so far. Price (got this unit for $169, what a bargin). to try a non genuine toner. I bit noisy but cold startup is no slower than most other laser printers. the power off swith at the very back is a pain to reach,
OK – i was dissatisfied with the unit. Small and very inexpensive Brother HL-2040 printer showed better quality printing results (it is just a printer and doesn't have a scanner or fax though) relatively small for multifunction unit, reasonably good quality text printing takes long time to warm up, quite noisy, very poor quality scans, while reasonable text printing it showed poor quality graphics and pictures printing
