ALDI Cocoon 2.4GHz AV Sender

OK – I enjoyed my 2.4 when I switched off my hands free phone as the interference was awful was hoping for the 5.8 to be okay but cant get a signal any ideas took my 2.4 reciever/sender backreplaced it with a 5.8 well get nothing no signal and i connected it up the right way as far as i can see

Good – I’m not a tech expert or anything, that’s why I get easily impressed with new innovations…a gadget like this can easily blow me (in a good way). I didn’t hesitate in buying this item as soon as I learned about it on the net. It’s easy to set up, and works well as of this writing, my family is enjoying it. Power saver, money saver occassional interference.

Excellent – My advice to people that are having issues with their product is to understand that these are wireless devices. This product is amazing. I can now watch my Foxtel in the bedroom – best of all; I don’t have to pay for another monthly subscription cost! I originally purchased the 5.8GHz model – however I have a 5.8GHz cordless phone that interfered with the signal. I called Cocoon support and they informed me that I would be better off with a 2.4GHz model (by the way – there service was fantastic – they spent time explaining the issue and nothing was too much trouble – other companies could learn a thing or two about customer service from these guys). So I returned it to DSE (thank goodness they have a 14 day “no questions asked” replace/refund guarantee) and got this 2.4GHz model. It now works great! I can even change channels from my bedroom. I would highly recommend this product. As mentioned above, I first purchased the Cocoon 5.8GHz model – unfortunately my cordless phone interfered with it – I must say I was not too impressed – not unlike some other reviews here. However, once it was explained to me that it was not “faulty” and my phone was actually at fault – I swapped it over for this product and all works great.

on my main set and control it as well. I really can not think of anything. Perhaps they can make the antenna so that you don't have to point them at eachother, but that's really not a big deal.

guess, but most of the time it works well, and it's worth it. Be warned though - you won't be able to use your 2.4GHZ telephone at the same time, cos' they work on the same frequency. We changed our phone to a 5.8ghz and have no problem. Well recommended - don't pay more than about $70 though, they go on sale quite often. watch Foxtel upstairs and using the remote control as well. can be finicky at times - subject to interference.

Good – This product worked well but I thought I'd upgrade to the Cocoon 5.8 GHz model.bad decision as this just up and stopped working.Gone back to my trasty 2.4 GHz model. It worked OK and Thought it was great.Transmitted my digital set top box TV to the back room to an old Analog TV.Great gadget. When you walked between the aerials it caused interference.

Good – I purchased one of these from Envious Technology and found it to work great! Great picture quality and despite having wireless internet and a cordless phone very rarely get any interference at all... definitely better than having to pay for a 2nd Foxtel box. transmitting the signals;

-if anybody by chance comes in between the two pieces that is transmitter and receiver the signal breaks;

-it gives flickering on both the sets with the noise, (black coloured horizontal flickering on the top of screen of the television, which is connected to the transmitter. White coloured horizontal flickering in the centre of the television screen which is connected to the receiver with an annoying noise);

- it is mentioned very clearly in the manual of the product that it can work in any house even the ones which has the bricked walls due to its latest technology of 5.8Ghz frequency. The signal could be received by the receiver unit any were in the remote area of the house up to 25meters, but it even fails to catch the signal up to 20feets.
