Bad – I though this TV would be ideal for our bedroom and it is if you only ever watch bright movies. Once a movie is taped in the dark, then the picture quality is 2 out of 10. LG are willing to look into the clock issue but they cannot do anything about the poor picture quality and you must take it to them to check it unlike other manufactures who send a technician to your home. I've now given the TV to my dad for his outdoor pool room and I've replaced it with a Samsung 66cm which is much superior and has no issues. Buy it at your own risk. In the store, it looked every bit as good as the Samsung 66cm and it had very similar specifications. The picture, sound and the look of the unit looked great. The price was the same but I chose the LG as it appeared to have a better and simpler menu system and I was incorrectly told by the salesman in Domayne that the Samsung didn’t have a wake up timer (which we use every day) so the LG 66cm was the obvious choice. The TV is littered with faults. You must be watching the TV at eye level. If the TV is a fraction higher than your eye level then everything looks like a film negative (all the colours become inverted) but it’s mainly when watching dark scenes. The wake up timer is 6 minutes fast per day so you have to reset your clock every night, even on auto time update mode and the after sales service is very poor. The 3 year warranty is only available if you physically take it to one of their service centres. I wished the salesman told me that before I bought it. Other manufactures send a technician to your home but not LG.
Excellent – Watching in the boob tube is so passe. This generation now already has flat tv's that can really beef up TV viewing times. I chose to have this LG because, it's just the right size for me, I was satisfied with the crisp images when it was on display, and the price was just right, and of course I trust the brand. This tv, satisfies me up to this day, and it's definitely for keeps. Amazing display
Terrible – LCD panel worst I have ever seen. From the horizontal position down the screen goes dark & colour distorts. We have purchase a large number of this model(LG26LC7D-AB.AAUXLJD) & they were all faulty. The previous model did not have this problem (LG26LC7D-AB.AAUULJD) If you buy one check it before you leave the store. We are sending all our TVs back (They do not meet spec)& getting the 26 inch Samsung instead. Easy setup The LCD panel is the worst I have ever seen.
