Well built – Bought two of these from new, 1for myself and 1for parents. Cannot fault quality. Moved numerous times, still main tv sets in 2020. With chromecast/console they're fine for 1080 streaming/gaming. Show details ·  1

Still going great! – We bought this TV in 2008, and now with the Olympics themed sales that are now coming out this month (7 years later in 2016!), this TV is still going great! I've been looking at reviews for new TV's for another room, and thought I'd type in this model to see if any comments. Pleasantly surprised to see other happy customers too :). Great TV... 7… Read more

years on and used every day (shift workers in household, so used pretty much day and night!), and I gotta say this is the best piece of tech I've ever bought.

Well done Panasonic, hope to pick up a model of yours in the near future for the new TV.

Edited: Update in 2019.... still going strong! This thing won't die ;).

Plasma holds its own against Samsung Smart TV – Wonderful picture and overall product. just purchased a new smart TV from Samsung the latest and greatest and this 6 year old Plasma holds its own in terms of picture quality and sound. We would definitely recommend Panasonic products for quality and longevity. We have added Apple TV and watch Netflix which is wonderful quality.  Show reply

Glad I bought this one – I'm glad I bought this one not an LCD. I did my research for about 3 weeks before I narrowed it down to this one. its been 3yrs and no problems yet, fingers crossed :). Built-in speakers suffice, but why would you buy a Plasma and not spend on a good surround sound system?? Picture Quality better than LCD of its time. Speakers. Cooler than most other Plasmas. Energy Consumption only

Cant live without it. Unfortunately I can no longer turn it on after 2 years. Thank God I purchased – Have had the TV for 2 years with no issues and a perfect quality picture. Have tried to turn it on tonight and the red standby light flashes 10 times and then nothing. Devastated!!! Sooo Glad I purchased an extended Warranty. Unfortunatelyit is a Friday noight and I can't contact the service division until Monday morning!!! The picture quality Wont turn on. Have tried everything! Show 2 replies

Excellent – This is an awesome big screen with with user friendly menu and remote. After much debate over lcd vs plasma, i'm highly impressed and happy with choosing what is regarded as the elite of plasma viewing. Awesome clarity on free to air television. Vibrant colours. Slight distortion on viewing fast movement images.

Terrible – After only 53 weeks of use a 50mm vertical red line appeared, TV is terminal and requires a new panel. Spare part is too costly to replace, so wow I am going to get another crappy Viera plasma. No wonder they have to give you a Wii or a camera to sell this crap. Style and price Poor after sales service

Excellent – We looked around for a while for a tv of all shapes and sizes and found that this tv at the time was a good buy for all the features that it had Although no PIP, bit of a let down.I love the tv and would get another panasonic when the time comes to replace one of my other ones Good look, easy to set up good sound and picture heaps of input plugs… Read more

Good – We have our Apple tv as digital media centre connects to this plasma tv. The tv's display of full hd (1080i) input is super clear and colours are real. Watching digital free tv is also an enjoyable one. Super clear and sharp picture. Colours are real. The deep black levels. However, it's still much better compared to other brand tvs. (except Pioneer)

Excellent – Great overall product, I did alot of research before purchasing and was going to purchase an LCD Television however once in the store the Panasonic impressed me on both appearance and picture quality (free blurae may have helped too) Have had the television for 4 months now and I have absolutely no regrets, get one if you are into movies Great… Read more

product, easy setup, crystal clear picture looks awsome and its mine As with most of these new generation flat panels you need surround sound the on board speakers are an afterthought....... I still give it a 5 though

Excellent – It connects to just about everything you could think of. Jaw droppingly impressive to guests and silences children when turned on. Sound is fine though if this is important to you it can connect to many audio devices. I couldn't be happier! Panasonic from my previous purchases over twenty odd years has always been around the 'sweet spot' of… Read more ·  2

purchase price to quality received. It's internal digital receiver picks up all local stations and is NOT connected to an outdoor antenna. Viewing is SUPERB. I can only say that watching the cricket or golf broadcast in HD (not just digital) is something to behold. I normally do not wear my script glasses to view the telly but when watching HD I NEED to wear them because I can tell there is detail I'm missing. Normal (standard) definition broadcasts I dont bother to wear specs as there is no difference. Shop around and haggle and this plasma can be yours for less than $2200. If I have to gripe then it would be all the dark glossy surfaces on this unit. Dust and finger print show up quickly but then you only need to clean with a lens cloth so in a way, even here a 'con' is a 'pro' because there is incentive to wipe the screen once a week. Just make sure its a good quality lens clothe. And one other thing, it's bloody heavy like all plasma tellies.
