Do not buy!!!!! they are fraudulent – I really wish I had taken the negative reviews on the company on board when purchasing a starter kit, and there are plenty of negative reviews. Paid my money and seven months later still waiting for products. Like others, I have emailed only to be lied to and insulted. There are plenty of reputable companies that sell superior products. Leaked every time – Bought these to try and save money but they leaked every time I used them. A consultant came out to help who was very nice and tried to help but every tip that was given didn't work. Soaked them for 3 more days to increase absorbency and no difference. Babies were always wet and woke them up. Tried them at 3kg then 5kg and over and still didn't… Read more

keep them dry. Bought 2 full time pack and had a very hard time getting my money back. Read the warranty on the website (not obvious and never pointed out). I was so excited to use these nappies but was very disappointed and upset they were useless also the customer service lady was abrupt and basically called us liars that they didn't work. You may believe in your produce lady but they are rubbish!!!!

Leaked every time – We bought a 24 full time pack of these when our daughter was 2 months old after seeing them demonstrated at a baby market, and it was a very expensive mistake. The fit was terrible, the leg holes gaped so much that they leaked every single time she wore them, and despite being in contact with the company and trying all their suggestions I could… Read more

not get them to fit any better. I ended up selling them online and buying some very cheap cloth nappies on eBay, and ironically those have worked wonderfully! (and were the same price for 10 as it was for 1 cushie tushie)

These nappies are not only a bad fit, but they are also very bulky, hardly any clothes fit over them, they have no elastic at the waist so can be uncomfortable for baby, they are very poorly manufactured with stitches coming undone after only a couple of washes, and because of the bamboo in the shell they take Ages to dry! I would not recommend these to anyone, especially when they are so expensive compared to cheaper brands that work so much better. Colours and patterns are cute. Expensive, not good value for money; Very bulky; Take too long to dry; Leak a lot; Not absorbent; Bad fit; No elastic at waist; Wings drop; Poorly manufactured.

Excellent – As with the basix we had a few leaking problems to begin with but that’s before I gave them a good soak and a few washes to boost up the absorbency. Bit like when you get a new towel it doesn't seem to dry you properly until it has had a few washes! Since we got the hang of adjusting the fit to suit our little girl we no longer have leaking and… Read more

they really have been very reliable. In my overall opinion you can not get a cuter nappy out there! I hope they release some new prints soon as I have all of the girly ones & the unisex ones! The prints! They are so so cute and eye catching! People are always asking me about them. I love that they come with a sewn in insert and also an additional 2 inserts (long and short) which we can add and take out as bubs grows etc making them very versatile. As with the basix they are tad bulky, but I guess this comes with making a nappy that fits from newborn through to toilet training. I do have some trimmer nappies in my stash but find that I only tend to use them when the cushie tushies are all in the wash or drying due to them not being as absorbant and a few #2 leaks. I should have also mentioned that now bubs is 9 months they don't feel that bulky and we have never had trouble fitting clothes over the top!

Excellent – I love using Cushie Tushies Couture Nappies they are great colours and designs and fit new born to toilet training. I will definately be using them for my next child, Plus I wont have to buy new nappies because the ones I got from Cushie Tushies have lasted beautifully for my first child and I can carry on using them for my next child. Brilliant! I love Cushie Tushies Nappies, they are a great all in one nappy. I never had a leak problem except for the days the nappy got left on too long because we were busy and I forgot to change him! Greta that you can adjust the nappies for a better fit and the consultants are a great help. My son at 2 1/2 is toilet trained during the day now (has been for 4 months)and I put it down to using cloth nappies, also with the Cushie Tushies clever insert boosters (poppered and shorter one) you can turn the shorter booster over to help start toilet training as then they know when they are wet. I used half the amount of washing powder per wash when I had Nappies in the wash and they still clean properly and you don't get much soap residue. My washing line is in full shade and only gets 2hours sun between 3 -5pm so it takes all day and some nights I put them on the airer to finish off, the drier they are, the more absorbant the are but I still never run out of Cushie Tushies Nappies to use, I wash each night which works great for me.For my next Baby I plan to get a new washing line in a new spot that gets lots of sun like at my old house then they dry in half a day in summer and I'll only have to get the airer out on rainy days. Problem solved :)

So glad I stuck it out! – Initially I had problems with the nappies. I was really upset and disheartened because I had invested so much money. I put them on my son when he was 4 weeks old. I had leakages out the legs for a while. I called Cushie Tushies and they sent a consultant out to help. Nothing changed, until my baby got bigger. Once he hit the 3 month mark and had a… Read more

bit more chubb in his legs, the nappies have been great!!! The only leaks I've had have been if I leave the nappy on accidentally for about 5 hours.

I am SO glad I persisted!!!! My son is now 15 months and they have remained white and look brand new. I'm pregnant with my next child and I'm just so excited and can continue using these. We've saved sooooo much money in the long run, not to mention how good it is for the environment. The adorable patterns, my son gets so many comments I would say give it a few months until your babies thighs are big enough.

Lovely, lovely nappies! So comfortable for me and baby! – These nappies are great - after months of researching different brands, materials, designs, etc. I purchased 2 each of Pea Pods, Itti Bittis and Cushie Tushies to trial run on my 5 month old. The Cushie Tushies, while a little bit bulkier perhaps than other designs, are really lovely! They look and seem to be a lot more comfortable than other… Read more

types (for example the elastic on the Itti Bittis seems to almost cut into the leg sometimes). Though as with all cloth nappies (and I say ALL because its true) you have some leaking issues in the beginning until the nappies and boosters achieve full absorbency (around 5th or 6th wash). Up until then they last about 2-3 hours, after full absorbency about 4-6 hours - though I do admit I always use an extra booster apart from the nappy itself and the booster that is provided with it.

My bubba does do the occasional explosive #2 and is a heavy wetter - she's also on 2 solid meals a day so drinks heaps of water, and despite all this they still last a lot longer than I'd expect for cloth nappies.

As a side note, I notice many Mums seem to be frustrated with cloth nappies not lasting as long as disposables - this is just the way it is! You can buy specially made overnight nappies (such as the Baby Beehinds Night Nappy), but these will be bulkier because they are supposed to be in order to be absorbent for long periods of time! Disposables are filled with jelly-type absorbing stuff which is artificial and not healthy for you, your baby and their skin, or the environment.

Also if you're having issues with leaks, etc. make sure you're using half strength detergent, and you can always do a strip wash if needed (Google it, very simple to do, involves dishwashing detergent and a hot wash cycle). Comfortable for baby, very easy to use, cute designs, washes very well! On the expensive side (but not the most expensive), somewhat bulkier than other designs

Fantastic – Couldnt be happier.. and looks great! Fabric is of high quality. All my babies love it. I have tried a few different brands but this appears to be the best of those I have tried. Most expensive mistake ever made – Have never been able to get them to fit correctly and so we'd get either leakage out of the legs or my poor son would be cut off at the chest because the elastic around the middle did not stretch to fit. We tried every month to see if they would one day fit properly and so far, 4 months on we've had no luck. I also found them really hard to… Read more

clean, would need ages soaking in pre-soaker to make sure they didn't com out stained after a number 2. Yes they were great for his skin when we did have them on and they were rather pretty to look at but rather impractical and not water friendly as you are spending a lot of time with them in the wash rather then on. Nice patterns Expensive, poor absorbency, ill fitting

Biggest waste of money! – After doing a fair bit of research online, I purchased a part time pack of the CT Couture. I then got told, "Your son just must be a heavy wetter". Perhaps they should advertise this on their website that if your child is a heavy wetter, than these nappies are useless. Ive since sold most of these nappies online and bought a set of Bumgenius - which i cannot fault. I refuse to take my son out in public wearing a CT, as im guaranteed a leaky nappy! Do yourself a favor and stay away from these nappies! The fancy patterns Leak more often than not despite all advice given to me

I know she will only be in it for about an hour or so- like just before the bath if she's needed to be changed.

The covers are cute but the fleece lining is just awful. It feels yucky and looks terrible after just a few washes and wears.

I'm fed up having to change whole outfits because of this problem and worse having a baby waking up early because she is soaked- and only during the day I never have and never would use these nappies at night. Cute patterns. Way to expensive, leaks all the time, fabrics don't stay looking nice or fresh.

Worth it long term – I've been using these for almost 2 years now. Whilst I have had leaks, I have persevered because the nappies are so practical. Cheap over years and with multiple kids, they wash well, and stay clean. I'm using the night boosters in the day to stop leaks now, and they hold for as long as a disposable. I bought the full time kit, and have never… Read more

needed the full set, despite living in the cold for some time. We use disposables at night and on holidays. I remember using disposables for my son as a newborn, but it wasn't long until he fit the cloth nappies, and he was never a large bub. He has gotten nappy rash from disposables, but never the Cushie Tushies. They are so much softer around the legs than crinkly plastic. May be worth trying other cloth brands (I have another brand, which fits a bit better, but don't hold as much liquid). Although there have been some problems, they have definitely been the right choice for us generally, and I won't change from using them most of the time. Cushie Tushies are what we invested in and we haven't had reason to change. My whole family is impressed with them and have learnt to use them with no difficulty. The website is very helpful, covers all problems realistically. The accessories (liners, night boosters, wet bags, and anti-bac foam) are all excellent and make the whole system so effective to use. They don't fit well under clothes such as jeans, cargo pants, etc, but for home use, with trackpants, soft shorts etc they are fine. When we go out, and want to wear something special, we use a disposable. Good value, soft and healthy for bub, good long term option. Leak at times, don't fit under slim fitting clothes.

Didn't fit my small baby – I bought these because they were: 'buy one get one free' and I thought they were cute. Although my son is not a really small baby, these did not fit him properly, and we had lots of leaks (even though I washed them 10 times!). They were very bulky, and didn't fit under his clothes very well. Cute colours. expensive for what they are, lots of leaks, bulky under clothes, didn't fit well.

Great investment! – Used occasionally for bub number 1 but for bub number 2 we use them all day every day. Took dad a while to get used to fitting them properly but once that was sorted all leaks stopped, disposable liners are a god send and make dealing with the mess a whole lot easier. Look great, easy to use even dad can use them! Takes a while to dry in the cold, but any cloth nappy would be the same.

Amazing! – I used these on my 1st born son, they fit him perfectly! I then used the same inital set on my second son and they worked again. Not only are they amazing to look at they were fantastic at holding the liquids, the new bamboo liners make newborns a breeze. Just throw the liner away and your done! reliable, quality, beautiful, eye catching

Finally got them to work properly! – As per some of the other posters, I had leakage problems at first with the CT's. We started using them after just a few days and my son is now nearly 3 months old. At first we struggled with leaking every now and then - not every time. Then we finally realised that we weren't using the boosters correctly (he's a heavy wetter, so needed the… Read more

extra one provided) and using a tad too much detergent. Now they're good without leakage 90% of the time (the 10% is the times that my husband puts them on lol). My son can go all night and be dry in the morning now :)

The fit can be tricky and they do seem a bit bulky (I've not tried other brands). The best part about them is the poo moisture gets absorbed so poor bubba isn't sitting in his poo screaming his head off like he does in disposables (he's not a fan of the disposable). However this does mean I need to keep smelling his butt for poos to make sure I change it for him lol!

The fabric seems much nicer on his skin too - has never had a problem with nappy rash with these on.

Due to the bulk (both on him and in the nappy bag), I'm using disposables when we go out all day or for a weekend. Good for bubs skin, lasts all night, look so cute (can team with a singlet as an outfit in summer!), bub not sitting in wet poo like disposables, better for the environment! A bit bulky, tricky to get fit right at first

Bad – I was particularly disappointed with this nappy, as it is not cheap ($35). Overall, the designs and feel are gorgeous. Although not "the best" in any comparison category, they are a fairly good overall compromise of all the benefits of MCNs. Gorgeous designs - the outer look and feel is lovely. Fairly absorbent compared with others (not the best though). These are the least bulky of all the MCNs in my stash. The boosters are great (I use them with my other MCNs as well). Can be worn from newborn. Workmanship is not great - snaps are poor quality, stitching is a bit uneven.

I found that for my daughter (who is not a heavy wetter and was only 6 months old when i first tried Cushie Tushies) that they leaked all the time. initially planned to use them at home only but have found with the wetbags (to carry soiled nappies)using them out and about is not an issue (in fact it is good not having to leave a dirty nappy as a parting gift) and with the night booster combined with snap in booster night time use has been fine so far. I have been using Cushie Tushies for 9 months now-a big surprise to me as I was very hesitant to try Modern Cloth Nappies (I used terry squares and plastics for 3 months with my first child and huggies for my second child). I have used Cushie Tushies for my 3rd child since she was 4 weeks old. The newborn fold was easy to manage. I love the all in one design, it is simple to use and fits well. The designs are great and I love that I can pair them with a top or dress in summer and she is good to go. I initially had a few leaks (wee) when nappies were wearing in, and I have had to do two strip washes (deep clean as washing powder can build up in nappies making them less absorbent). Now leaks are not an issue and I have never had a poo explosion (up the back or out of the legs), I have a few funny tales to tell from child number two in disposables - my husbands moccasins will never be the same! They do take longer to dry with all layers combined but I would not like to give up the All in one design for a quicker drying time. The newborn fold makes the nappy a little

The built in booster seems to bunch up onside the nappy after washing and needs to be wriggled back into shape, even though it's sewn in. Not a huge fan of microfleece inners either as I find they tend to be more likely to cause rashes on my little one, so I don't leave these on for very long.

less bulky fit than itti bitti when used in small setting. The prints are lovely and the elastic seems soft around the back and legs and doesn't cut in. I too have had leakage problems as it seems like the PUL layer doesn't go all the way accross to the edge, therefore wee leaks out the side. I have tried it with the normal booster doubled over with the small booster added and folded down at the top to ensure a tight fit around the leg and have still encountered leakage and my baby is only 7 and half kilos. This was after i had washed and fully dried them twice before use, which they claim the more you wash the more absorbent they become.
