Pros:
Easy to use, nice umcomplicated dial, easy to clean lint filter, looks great. Price.
Cons:
Noise. Energy use.
Overall:
I've never had a dryer before, but I love this dryer, especially since the retailer knocked $100 off the price for me, bringing it to $419! I have had no problems with it whatsoever. It's very efficient, I've never had anything come out still wet and it can dry in 90-120 minutes depending on the size of the load. I tend to use it on warm not hot as I find it doesn't shrink my clothes this way and I can dry more clothes this way. It can be either floor or wall mounted, I used the wall bracket to hang my clothes horse on!
I don't have the venting kit, but I always dry with the outside laundry door open. I find it a bit noisy when I'm trying to work as my laundry is close to my study, not loud as such, just a constant noise in the background that drives me nuts, especially when it stops to reverse tumble every minute or so, but this is easily solved by closing the laundry door!
I thorougly recomend this dryer.
Pros:
Reasonably quiet, simple to use and sheets don't roll up into a bundle.
Cons:
With apologies to Hills Hoists, it has made them redundant.
Overall:
I have always liked Simpson dryers even though I had to replace elastic belts from time to time and on at least two occasions, replace the heater elements. I'm a do-it-yourself kind of guy so it wasn't expensive and new Simpson parts are easy to find. Also, I am talking about twenty something years (two older models) and our continually overloading the dryers with nappies, towels, jeans etc so they have always been reliable. Nothings changed, this model it's a real beauty! Leave it and forget. It works thoroughly and every patch of clothing is dried and not too creased. Nothing's changed on the domestic front so our habit is to still not use the clothes-line. Well done Simpson!
Pros:
Capacity, its reliability and I can mount it to wall (i.e. up-side-down).
Cons:
Nothing
Overall:
I am very pleased with this machine and so glad I stick to Simpson dryer and the old fashion dial setting rather than digital. Highly recommended. It does what a dryer is meant to do.
