More importantly, can he concentrate on his studies when he discovers that one of his tenants might be the promised girl from so long ago?
Pros:
funny situations and story line; characters have each their own personality; interesting plot
Cons:
just one boy between all those girls
Overall:
It seems to be a very popular theme in Japan to make animes with one single male character surrounded by a bunch of beautiful girls. "Love Hina" follows the exact same pattern and places a nerdy boy in a residential complex where only girls live. Only this situation brings by a lot of funny events, not to mention that each of the characters has its own story line.
I was very curious to find out who is the girl Keitaro made that promise to and by the end I wasn't so surprised to find out because it would have been weird to have been any other.
I liked that the girls came with their own personalities leading to a series of funny events and misunderstandings.
Pros:
Great story. As soon as I saw the first episode I was hooked. I kept on guessing which one of the girls could be the childhood friend! All the episodes offer something different as they go through each girl in the Hina.
Cons:
nothing
Overall:
This is light hearted entertainment and great to watch on a lazy Sunday. I would recommend to anyone who loves anime and Japanes humour.
Pros:
the story line, the animation style, the charactors. I especially loved the flying turtle. :)
Cons:
Nothing. Sometimes it focussed too much on one or two characters, although most of them got to have an episode to star in.
Overall:
I loved it. It's one of my favortive anime's, but not something I'd watch with my male otherhalf, I think this series would appeal more to girls. I'm not sure if I like the length or not- on one hand, it's fantastic, because there's lots to watch, but on the other hand... it means not much happens, really. You can watch the episodes more or less at random and doesn't make much of a difference. The spin offs are great.
