Oldie but Goodie – So i'm repurposing my old TVs as PC monitors. Yes, I have 2 x 32" TV's as my dual screen PC now. One is a Samsung Series 4 LED, and my newest one is this old LG. Comparing side by side, the LG has more features easily. 3x HDMI plus the regular VGA PC inputs, RCA for RGB and audio to boot. The picture is excellent, capable of full HD 1080p… Read more
resolution, however, using the VGA input, up to 780p is fine. For text and browsing and occasional videos, it's perfect for these old eyes of mine. This LG has night mode, softening the contrast and the whites to off white. Great for sustained viewing. I think this model was released back in 2008, around the same time as my Samsung. Both consume around 100w each, a little high for a PC monitor, but I'm saving the planet in my own way, not buying a new item, and not discarding these usable TVs.
Incredibly reliable and dependable TV – I bought this in 2008. I didn't have any problems with it for nine years. Then suddenly yesterday it stopped working. For its nine year life the picture quality met my needs, for TV, movies and live sport. I never had any hassles... until yesterday. I'd buy another LG TV without blinking. I have nothing but positive feedback for this TV after a lot of use over many years. Show details
Value for money indeed – Certainly good digital tuner. Use this to hookup with my PS3 and awesome image for blu-rays. 4 ports hdmi just adds to usability among gadgets i have. Menu icons are big and pretty easy to use. Use this TV on my lazy couch to surf and facebooking too. Overall I would say I'm pretty happy with this product. awesome pics i have seen better audio quality Show reply
Excellent – We bought a 37inch 200Hz model 3 months ago to replace our 10 year old Sony (which was still working fine, but alas was not a digital). So far we are extremely happy with our purchase. It was a breeze to install and set up, and the picture quality is really excellent. I love the remote controller, as it is really easy to use compared to our old… Read more · 1
one, which was totally non-intuitive and real pain in the neck if, for example, you wanted to switch from pay TV to CD and back again. As we've only had it for a few months I can't really comment on its durability, so only time will tell if its going to be anywhere near as long-lasting as the Sony was. Great picture quality and good sound. Very easy to set up and use. Nothing as yet.
OK – I have had this product for just over 6 months and had to call up LG customer care 3 times. The first time i called them regarding the colour fading out in the corners the technician came and had a look and said it was just a normal LCD tv i was very upset. They never solved the problem but they wanted me to pay for NO FAULT FOUND but i refused to… Read more
do so.
The second time i had to call up for the same problem and the representative was very rude and never showed any empathy towards the issue and i gave up and thought my $ went into drain and never wanted to call them again..
I was forced to call them today just after 6months of purchase there is no picture on the screen can just hear only sound.. The technician would take 48hrs to call back what a service.. Will never buy any LG not even for free... Thank you LG for your support:(:(:( Picture quality is good Colours fading out in the corners

Terrible – Lucky it goes they say. Well this one doesn't. LG tells us it is a power supply problem. Feel really bad as I bought this for my young bloke, against my better judgement. I know the reputation the brand has and thought I would bag a bargain. OOps CHeap Doesn't work, and nobody cares
Excellent – Amazing picture quality, Very intuitive menu and set up. Been very happy with it since we purchased and installed it 2 months ago. In the Past I've been dubious about LG, but this TV has been 100% brilliant! Apparently the LCD panel is made by Phillips, but haven't been able to confirm this. Regardless i would recoment this. LG 42LH50YD - Brilliant picture Quality, Very easy menu system and operation
Good – Best TV I have ever owned, got it for 2800, bit more than i wanted to pay, but very happy with the purchase, ps3 looks great on it as does Blu Ray, HDTV looks good also, standard Def looks reasonable, but once you go HD viewing ang standard Def looks very ordinary. better picture than my Panasonic 50 inch HD Plasma. All connections on the rear, same with most gear, would of been nice to have thew computer and a HD port on the side.
