Terrible – Not sure, still awaiting response from Kitchenaid customer service. The representative told me they haven't experienced this problem being reported from any customer yet. So, owners of older units-beware. Mine is a 2007 product. simple design-it has very few buttons and funcions leaked out of the very bottom of the appliance where there are perforations, upon taking it apart, found corroded metal tubes connecting to "feeder" tubes. lucky I did investigate-this is how fires start. Upon further research, found the gasket going around the perimeter had been installed improperly. It wasn't even in the channel. I am speaking to customer service to try to get this resolved.
