surface is very hot when it's on. No need to preheat the oven, no oven trays needed and it is so easy to clean. Now that I've got my dream oven, I'm still using it for making cupcakes. Energy saving, easy to use, easy to clean, quick Surface is hot, no problem for me as there is a handle. Kids may touch it as it looks too cute

overall appearance of the appliance as well as an on/off switch which would be better than just using a plug to turn it on or off.

The actual 'cupcake look' of this appliance is great compared to any other brands, that's what caught my eye to begin with. I was so impressed with this cupcake maker that I was going to buy 2 others this year for Christmas presents but unfortunately couldn't find them anywhere so had to get a different cheaper brand. I was told they are no longer made, which is quite disappointing as its a great little appliance. Great reliable appliance that cooks cupcakes in around 10 minutes! An on/off switch would be great.

Best appliance I have ever bought! – This appliance saves me time. when visiter come I just switch it an, make a cake mixture up and in 10 minutes I have lovely patty cakes or muffins. I ended up buying 3 more for my adult children and they love it too. I won't be going back to using the oven! The best gift ever! – I bought this machine as a gift to my cousin in Brazil. She is in love as she makes cupcakes for kids parties there! I believe this is not a toy to give to children to play or even learn how to bake as said on the previous reviews. This is a real machine so mums be conscious of what you buy for your children. heat the oven for one batch of mix which is usually 2 lots in the cupcake maker. Portable, saves me power when making a small batch of baking, looks very attractive and has been a complete winner as a birthday gift. Two of my adult friends have now bought one, one to whip up something when the grandkids come around, the other to make muffins for work on nearly a daily basis Nothing really but it is heavy and I do have to supervise my daughter when she opens and closes the maker - but then I'd do the same if she was lifting a tray in or out of a regular oven anyway.

you when the cupcakes are ready and has no switch off mechanism. It is hard to get the cupcakes out of their holes as it is so hot. If you are an adult that needs a cupckae shaped baking aid(?) it may be suitable.

raised, rounded, high tops like traditional cupcakes, rather than the flat tops that my oven produced. No cleaning messy cupcake pans, I can make 12 in 20 minutes with no mess, rather than 12 in 1 hr or so, with the oven heating up the kitchen and having to soak muffin pans afterwards. If you are a cupcake person, do yourself a favour!!

The instructions advise to fill patty pans, then lift in to the machine. I found the patty pans spread and went wonky, so I put them in first, then filled them in the machine - results were perfect, 10 minutes on the dot.

Must have in QLD – This is perfect for cooking quick cupcakes/muffins. Especially in Queensland where it is too hot in summer to heat the whole house with the oven. results in a mound of leftover pulp. So I add a cup of SR flour, minced garlic, an egg and a little water and make 6 savoury muffins for the dogs and chooks.

Saves on pet food , they love them and it keeps them healthy.

I can't imagine being without this little machine now. Extremely reliable. Easy to use & clean. Gets very hot so watch your fingers and keep any eye on any children.

Excellent – Perfect if guests are coming over with only a little bit of notice. I use silicon muffin cups, so make no mess in the machine and they hold their shape so I can fill them on the bench and then lift them into the machine. to heat the whole oven. Cooks in less time than oven too. Easy to store, easy to clean, heats in the time in takes you to prepare the muffins or cupcakes. Be careful getting your creations out - surface is very hot (but you are warned about this)

family favourite! Pattie is SO simple to use, and so easy to clean! It does exactly what it says too, bakes 6 cupcakes in 10 minutes. The cupcakes come out looking like they've been store-bought. Entire cooking surface does become VERY hot, but the instructions make this quite clear. Something to watch out for if using with children.

Sunbeam Pattie maker - Does what it says! Cooks cupcakes in 10mins – I rent a property and the oven I have does not seal 100% therefore this machine is great. It cooks them quickly and they rise as they should and I used the recipe in the manual too. Perfect! Does sweet and savoury. I have not done savoury yet but will be doing so.. The unit is compact and easy to clean. Easy & Quick - No more patty pans. I Love it! No Cons I can think of
