Terrible! – For the past 11 years I lived in a house with a plain old Simpson dishwasher. Never any problems. Dishes came out clean. Did nothing to maintain it. We moved to a new house with two single F&P dishdrawers and after a year and a half have found them to be abysmal. You need to examine everything that comes out of them for things that weren't cleaned… Read more

and need to be hand washed. The drawers themselves get filthy and need to be disassembled, cleaned and reassembled every three or four weeks! The logic to buying one of these is you basically spend a load of money to replace the task of hand washing dishes with the task of hand washing the dishwasher! I am looking forward to buying a proper dishwasher so I can stop wasting time with this rubbish.

Problems!!!! – I completely agree with the reviewer above me!!!!!!!!! This was my first dishwasher and it defiently wasnt the least expensive option when purchasing. I would never buy any Fisher and Paykel product ever again. Since installing it we have had the service agent out about 20 times for everything and anything that could go wong with a dishwasher. At… Read more

the amount he charges I could have brought about 5 new dishwashers. Although the service agent and technical support girls are very friendly and helpful. I have a lot of older appliances / other brands in my house with no problems what so ever.

Too many problems! Call out fee is very expensive

Perfect for an apartment – This is a brilliant machine for a single or couple household. Be sure to pay attention to the way you stack the dish drawer and your plates and cutlery will come out beautifully clean. I've had a couple of loads where the odd spoon or fork has not been stacked properly and prevented the machine from cleaning completely. It's also great to load and unload as everything is at the right height. Quiet, fast and effective. Easy to load and unload.

Great for 1 or 2 people / apartment with limited space – I purchased this dishwasher a few years ago and must admit that it has been great. I've only had one issue with the dishwasher where it made a funny beep and an error appeared on the digital display. F&P sent someone out to look at it and fix if required. At the time, I was advised that either I may have put too much powder in and it has… Read more

overflowed on the inside or opened it too many times during a cycle, where water and suds had leaked in on the inside.

I now know that this was NOT correct. After looking at the recall website, I noted that F&P had a recall on this dishwasher on a part that caused leaking at the bottom of the draw. I lodged the claim through F&P and a new part was sent out to be fitted. The only concern I have with this is if this part caused any damage that may cause it to fail in the near future, who will be paying for it to be fixed?

The overall performance of this dishwasher has been great, I honestly can't fault it too much at all. If you don't over stack it, clean the filter at the bottom, it does a great job. The size of the draw is perfect for couples, singles or apartments. If you have issues with bending down to unload it, you can have it installed up higher, making it easier to unload.

The stainless steel on the draw isn't the best quality I've seen or had, finger prints and water drops can be sometimes hard to remove. Nothing that a little stainless steel remover won't fix though.

If you don't have the room for a full sized dishwasher, this is a great option. The smaller skinnier dishwashers to fit in a standard sized cupboard door are a lot more expensive than this option. The size and the ease of a draw instead of door is great. Being able to have it installed high under a bench eliminates the need to be bending down all the time to empty it. The stainless steel can be a little hard to clean and that even though I registered the dishwasher with F&P, they did not contact me to advise of a recall.

DS603 = 11 yrs of happiness – DOP 2005 2011 - nil errors or faults in seven years. Happy owner. Occasionally dishes come out dirty but usually because of obstruction (lighter object has fallen down and blocks water arm). Rectified by removing obstruction and not using eco button.. 01/2016 Still going strong. Do occasionally experience the F1error, which I believed is… Read more

caused by user error and stacking too high. Easily fixed - unplug from wall extend draw door open and place towel underneath leave for several hours. Remove towel & plug in - problem solved.

04/2016

F1 error is now constantly happening. It appears that the lid seal had finally started to perish. After hours of Google research - deal comes as part of lid roughly $130 for part plus call out price for tech. Called F&P customer service - offered upgrade to DD60SCX7 for $643.52 delivered, installed & removal. I know it's not the latest model but if I get anywhere near 11yrs out of this new one, I'll be a happy camper. Reliable

Good – We have been using two single drawer dishwashers, mounted either side of the kitchen sink, for almost three years without a hitch. The superb design allows them to be filled and emptied without having to bend and this was a major factor in our purchasing decision. To get the best cleaning results the dishwasher must be packed with a little thought… Read more

and cannot be overloaded. Due to the very compact internal design, some items, if not packed correctly, can move during washing and drop down into the path of the spray arm. Whilst this does no damage, it means that very little of the load actually gets washed and it needs to be run again. Due to the relatively small load size we run one dishwasher almost every day (for a family of 4) but, due to the small amount of water and electricity they use, they are still cheap to run. The dishwashers are generally run at night using the delay start function and are quiet enough not to wake anyone. Whilst buying two single drawers is more expensive that a standard dishwasher, I would certainly buy these again when the time comes. Great design that saves bending down to fill and empty. Washes and dries well. Stainless steel front easy to keep clean. Delay start option. Quiet enough to run at night without waking everyone. Needs to be packed reasonably well to ensure everything washes well and to avoid items falling into the path of the spray arm and stopping it from rotating. Relatively small load size require more frequent use compared to a standard design washer.

Excellent – Took a little while getting used to the dishdrawer system after using a normal dishwasher for many years. The kids are happy to empty the dishdrawer as it doesn't take as long to empty as a normal dishwasher. You can't use Powerball tablets in the dishwasher as they froth up too much and can cause damage but have no problems using morning fresh… Read more

dish tablets dropped in the cutlery basket.

Love how quiet it is compared to my old Bosch - sometimes have to check if I have remembered to switch it on. I don't have to turn up the TV whn its washing. Easy to load and unload. Extremely quiet. Small water usage. Flexible racking to adjust for cooking pots Need to be careful when loading - if anything slips down below the rack the spinning arm doesn't spin and yoyr dished don't get washed!

Dries very well
