Great Blender! – I have owned and used this blender almost everyday for many years. It is still going strong. I have made smoothies, hummus, Beetroot dip, and blended cooled soup in it. I have used it well, looked after it and loved it. It has a polycarbonate jug which means that it has BPA in it plus other nasties, so I no longer use my beauty. I have recently purchased the Breville Kinitex Control 605 BPA free model and it's a great blender. Long wearing quality motor, mauve jug, has served me well looks like it would last for many more years. Polycarbonate jug containing BPA. Nothing else. I would still be using it now had it not been for the toxins in the plastic.

Worst blender I've ever used in 25 years – Definitely the worst blender I've used. It leaves chunks of ice cubes and fruits no matter how long you blend it. It also leaks at the bottom and leaves a greenish liquid where the jug attaches to the base. It's probably the rubber mechanism. It's difficult to clean inside and out especially at the bottom where the shake or smoothie has leaked. I can send photos if anyone is interest. The grooves inside the jug ensures that you spill everytime you pour. A group of students even did a 'redesign' of this product just google 'breville redesign'. Do not waste your money on this.

Great blender for the price – After the jug on my previous blender shattered, I searched for another blender that wouldn't have the same problem, which is why I chose this one i.e. I was told that the jug was shatter-proof. I have owned this blender for a couple of years and it always works perfectly and the jug hasn't shattered. I mainly use this blender to make smoothies, but sometimes I make pesto with it, even though it's best to make pesto in a food processor. I do have to add a bit more oil for the blades to work well. Reliable, works well, good for the price.

I love this blender and have used it for many years. I am changing to a shatter proof glass blender due to the jug on this one not being BPA free. It's a good blender. I have made smoothies hummus, dips, smoothies with it. Mine is years old and still working.

Okay for price – I use this blender mainly to make smoothies and although I cut the bananas for example in tiny pieces, some of these will still not be properly blended. I find the machine not that easy to clean, although it even has an auto-clean mode. When you try and pour the smoothie into a glass, you have to do it very slowly, otherwise it will spill all around it from the jug. I would buy a different blender next time. Inexpensive, does the job Leaves fruit chunks in smoothie, hard to clean, doesn't poor easily into cup
