2000 hectares over 10 years of service on rentered and owned properties all over Victoria, Australia, Now the only reason l am on this site is I need a air filter cover because a tree caught the blasted thing clearing the fence line on a 2.5 acre site in Gippsland East. Terrible – Heavy no guts hard to start even though it says sure fire system total piece of junk do not even think of buying anything from talon.

moving when you adjust the throttle lever truth is the cable is just tensing and not causing any movement of the throttle so try pull starting as much as you like it ain't going to happen. Only when I flip the mower on its side use a screwdriver to prise open the throttle does the mower start then shock horror it actually goes no problems. To stop it I just cut off the fuel and let it run out. - develops a rough idle,

- idle/throttle seems all over the place.

- hard to re-start once warm. Totally annoying when having to stop the mower to go from the backyard to frontyard!!!

- Now it's not working at all again!!!

The claimed 2year warranty doesn't mean anything! I have better things to do than take it to their warranty agent and wait 2 weeks for them to fix it.

This is disgusting - lawn mowers should last for years! I've had a lifetime of problems within the 9months of owning this rubbish.

Their 1300 1 TALON Phone number is also disconnected now - despite it being on their website still!

I WILL NEVER BUY TALON AGAIN!

This thing is complete pile of junk! IT IS NOW NOTHING BUT TROUBLE!

Terrible – Lasted only one year no power hard to start repair shop doesn't want to carry out any repairs because they said they are nothing but trouble i will not buy another talon product and i recommend all to stay away from this product unless you have plenty of money to spare or you find out the hard way like i did

Terrible – I bought a Talon mower 3 months ago it has been used 6-7 times now the pullstart has gone and it seems to drain the petrol through the engine! Bought from Bunnings and they are less than interested basically telling me I shouldn't have bought it as quality is poor!! Will NEVER have another Talon product utter garbage! Won't work

Terrible – It is evident the product is rubbish. What bothers me most is BUNNINGS. When I was looking at buying a Talon I was concerned about the quality. for a laugh - what a joke! Where to start - the list is too long. After the third use it started to fall apart!

i have had no problems with mine and i have had it for 3 years – after 3 years my first major repeair is air filter ,and throttle cable, prevous was repair was pulling cable thats all i dont think its that bad i mowed a yard that had 7 foot high grass and it smashed it ( and it was 7 foot i am 6FT 2 and it was taller than me) so i yhink there pretty good. it works in all condions fuel is good and maxium 3 pulls and it starts  Show reply

I received a phone call from the repairer stating the mower had been repaired and new throttle cable was replaced as the original one on the mower was weak and had stretched - remember it's only "3" months old!!!. I was also informed that it was not covered under warranty and was charged for the repair... so unfair, especially as it seems that it's not an uncommon problem with these mowers... Nice looking machine Talon will not live up to it's warranty
