Overall:
Dick Smith - Queen Street maul. After waiting in the front of the queue (first person in the queue) for quite a while, with 4 members of staff standing behind the counters chatting, playing with their mobile phones, joking, sending text messages etc,one of these "customer servers" eventually decided to do some work. So he calls to the person behind me who was quite clearly a friend of his to come forward so that she can be served first. When I tried to raise the matter with the Dick Smith employee, he completely ignored me and just continued to ask the standard questions .... is this all you want .... do you need a bag....how would you like to pay...?
Cons:
the repairs policy. i purchaced an LG mobile phone 2 weeks ago and for 4 days now, it won't turn on. The man who sold it to me told me they would repair it if it was faulty in 1 year. When i went in there, the man serving me told me to refer the issue to LG directly. ANYWHERE ELSE THEY WOULD TAKE THE INITIATIVE AND ORGANISE TO GET IT REPAIRED. THEY LIED TO ME AND GAVE ME DIFFERENT INFORMATION EACH TIME I WENT.
Overall:
NEVER EVER EVER...Shop at Dick Smiths Electronics. If there was an rating less than one I'd give it in a heartbeat. They practically stole 30 dollars off me for 2 year warranty. Stuff them!
Cons:
But it took a while for him to help me. At one stage no one was attending the store, (Parramatta Westfields NSW) which had a number of customers waiting.
Overall:
Having 9 grandkids I wanted to buy each family a duel Car, 7in screen, DVD player(Dick Smith brand) for Christmas. So I have bought three of them. Lucky we looked in the boxes as some parts were missing and we were surprised that each duel pack came with only one set of earphones. How is the other child to hear the DVD playing? Lucky we did look or there would have been some crying going on. Why on earth have two screens and only one earphone? Now we have to go buy an extra set for the others. How silly is that. They dont even look like a dear pr so wouldnt have cost Dick Smith to add the extra one I am sure.
