Beyonwiz DP-P1 HD PVR / DP-P2 HD PVR
Pros: Great interfact. Regular firmware updates. Ease of operation. Dual program recording in HD. iceTV interface. Multi format reading of files and H264 format compatible. One remote to control TV and PVR.

Cons: EPS not refreshing automatically. Only available in Australia so no worldwide community input. The remote control is not backlit and has a cheap feel to it. Price too high to be competitive.

Overall: I am overall really pleased with the DP-P2 and like the fact that it is easy to use and intuitive. You should consider this product in in the market for a PVR. When buying it is important to get the price down to between $700 and $800 (Perth area) as the ticket price of $999 is unrealistic.

LG 42PX3RVC
Pros: Stylish looks and good overall colour resolution.

Cons: No built in HD tuner - had to use a separate box.

Overall: This is a great product. Bought about 3 years ago and it has worked flawlessly in that time, running about 6 hrs per day. It still looks and works as well as it did they first day I purchased it. The newer model has built in HD tuner but now that I have Beyonwiz PVR recorder attached there is no need for a tuner so the product is good for a few years yet. I would definitely recommend this product - even second hand units will probably still give a good few years service yet.
