Very disappointing experience with Mitsubishi Motors Australia regarding warranty support for my 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander. The gear selector trim… Read more

began peeling within approximately 2–3 years under normal use. The issue was raised early through the authorised dealer network and dealership documentation referenced deterioration/failure of the adhesive and material fatigue. An adjacent trim component was accepted and repaired under warranty, however Mitsubishi declined the gear selector claim as “external influence.”

Despite repeated follow-up, months of delays, an incorrect repair appointment, and escalation through the Office of Fair Trading, Mitsubishi maintained their position without identifying any actual misuse or specific external cause.

The most disappointing aspect has been the customer service and lack of accountability throughout the process. I purchased a new vehicle and maintained servicing through the authorised Mitsubishi network specifically for peace of mind regarding warranty support and customer care.

Unfortunately, this experience has significantly reduced my confidence in both the Mitsubishi brand and their warranty process.

Would not consider purchasing any vehicle under Mitsubishi for their false "warranty" - as in practicality they are not honouring this warranty.

The ASX is our "family car". It's a solid build which continues to serve us well after several years. We did have an issue with the touch screen being unresponsive but this was repaired at no cost by Mitsubishi (apparently a known problem).

Excellent build quality and firm ride, impressive off road capability and handling. I have purchased Pajero in 2015 brand new, used it for few years and overall it proved to be a good choice. Engine pickup was slow however, but I enjoyed every ride.

Bought a new Mitsubishi Triton GLS Premium equivalent last year and ran into an issue that shouldn’t happen on a new vehicle. The plastic panel… Read more

around the driver’s seat controls plastic trim sticks out noticeably (around 1 cm). Because of this, it caught on my clothing or maybe shoes when getting out. In my case, it snagged during normal use and the panel came loose and broke.

I’ve never seen seat trim designed like this. trim should sits recessed, so there’s nothing to catch on.

The bigger issue is the response — the dealer declined to repair it. For a vehicle that’s only a year old, interior parts should not fail from everyday use.

The Triton itself is fine to drive, but this design choice and the lack of support after the issue occurred is disappointing.

Wanted a PHEV, spent many months going over different models and the Eclipse Cross (EC) kept coming up as the best value for money. End of model… Read more

runout pricing made it compelling so purchased new in September 2025 (Dec 24 build, the very last).

Good points: hybrid system is extremely well sorted, ICE motor cuts in and out as needed almost unnoticed. Charges from "empty" to full in about 5 hours from standard 10amp socket. AWD+electric motors mean it's handily quick away from a stand still without being a rocket. About 45km real world range in EV mode is sufficient for daily driving, of course more would be nice. Frugal in hybrid mode, 45 litre tank + full battery gives about 650km real world range for highway driving. Higher SUV stance means easy to get in and out, roomy comfortable interior. Dash and instruments are a little old-school but look good, are functional and well laid out. Reasonable boot space with rear seat up, lots with it folded. Great ride and comfort, handles well. Adaptive cruise control works well. Doesn't have attention monitoring (yay!).

Not so good: suspension is a bit soft but not too bad, doesn't have latest safety features such as autonomous braking or lane keeping, but does have warnings (I actually think that's a plus). Cross traffic alert sometimes goes off when sitting at traffic lights, hands–free tailgate opening can be finicky. Regen braking level is forgotten when cruise control used or taken out of drive, it has to be reset when going back into drive. No spare wheel, though roadside assist comes with the warranty. Can only set charging start/stop time (up to 5 different sessions), can't set % charge. Connect app only works over a few metres via WiFi, but it's good for setting charge schedule and turning on climate control before entering the car. Just make sure you go into settings and select the car's WiFi network first. My phone seems to connect to any other available network in preference.

Overall extremely pleased with the car, it does everything I want it to in comfort. Servicing and insurance costs are reasonable, fuel cost is negligible. City driving is great, highway with 3 or 4 adults is also very comfortable. Built–in navigation (Tom Tom) is good, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto also available (wired is standard but easily upgraded to wireless, and wireless charging, with cheap aftermarket items).

Response to some other reviews: It was claimed the EC was banned from import, it wasn't. Mitsubishi decided to end production in 2024 rather than update to meet 2025 ADR requirements for autonomous braking. Final run–out cars were sold until early 2026. It had a 5 star ANCAP rating when tested in 2017 (but would not get 5 stars in 2025).

Someone said it has a 35 litre tank, that's wrong. The ICE models are 60 or 63 litre, PHEVS 45 litre.

Wish I could give zero stars. Do not use these guys their customer service and their service is the worst. I made the mistake of getting my van… Read more

serviced by them due to capped price serving. Multiple times I had to bring my van back as they hadn't done things like update software which after service kept bringing up a oil level error code, after a service my van kept stalling as the battery voltage had dropped, got van back and hadn't been washed and vacuumed as they said it would and made a big song and dance of letting me know it was clean in front of other customers and in fact had oily hand marks all over the bonnet and oil marks/drips all inside engine bay and bumper, promised a full detail at next service which of course didn't happen. They didn't reset the service reminder light, was supposed to get new front brakes which I told them when dropping it off they said they'll be able to do it on the day as I had taken day off, low and behold parts weren't ordered till to late so wasn't done on the day got it done somewhere else for significantly less than I was quoted by Mitsubishi too, they said they'd call when parts arrived never called or anything. Another time I got it serviced and straight away afterwards starting having transmission errors and faults which when I returned multiple times to drop van of and take more time off work they said they had fixed for it to come back straight away, eventually the transmission ended up needing replacement which took 2 months to get fixed whole time no communication or updates on eta was given a Ute with no roof racks and a tub that when rained leaked so all my tools etc got wet as it was during winter. Constantly having to cancel jobs to drop van off or it not being ready as self employed and need van for work lost a lot of money due to their poor service. It has been serviced with them since I got the van in 2022, To top it off I just got it serviced somewhere else as I refuse to give them anymore of my money and was informed that at previous service (wanneroo Mitsubishi) the technician used the wrong sump plug, had to use 3 washers and over tightened it causing damage to the sump for which i had to pay a thread repair specialist to come out and fix the sump as it was so badly damaged. They are denying any responsibility even though the facts are very obvious and they were the last ones to touch the van for 2.5 or so years there is no reason one of their technicians should need to use 3 washers to seal a sump, unless they damaged the sump and only way to get it to seal was to use 3 washers and over tighten it and which is what happened. Save yourself the stress and hassle and go somewhere else. Absolute disgrace of a dealership they'll try and say it's not thier fault but 100% they were the last ones to touch the car and last ones to service it for the last 2.5 years. The stress and financial loss this dealership has caused me is beyond a joke. It's a shame you can't reply to their reply as no doubt when they reply they'll deny anything. They also try and offer you a 50$ fuel voucher to give Them a 5 star review.

2017 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Exceed Bought my Pajero Sport new back in 2017, and it’s now ticked over 140,000 kays. Honestly, it’s been rock solid.… Read more

I service it myself every December — it’s that easy. Anyone who can handle a screwdriver and a spanner will have no trouble doing it. You’ll never need a workshop with this car; it’s built simple and smart.

Only issue I’ve ever had was a small leak in one of the intercooler hoses around 120,000 km — replaced both just to be safe. Still on the original front rotors, barely touched the rear brakes, and the engine doesn’t use a drop of oil.

It’s done plenty of towing and weekend hunting trips off-road, and it’s handled everything with ease. I don’t flog it through mud holes — just use it properly — and it’s never missed a beat.

What cracks me up is the online ratings. My car’s got nothing but 4-plus-star reviews from owners, yet somehow ends up with an overall 3.9. Meanwhile, Jeep — the king of breakdowns — scores almost the same. Go figure.

Verdict: Super reliable, tough, and easy to maintain. Would buy the same car again tomorrow. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

For the money, it's a great car – I bought a demo model in 2018. 5 years later with 50,000 km on the odo, I haven't had any issues at all. For the price, the features it has, and its… Read more

reliability, you really can't go past it. A couple of things to note: - have the tyre pressure up to 38 instead of the recommended 36 - it helped the drive quite a bit (a tyre place put me onto this). - use the B (brake) on the CVT auto to help slow down the car so you don't chew through the front brake pads (a tip from a dealer).

Rang up said I needed to bring it back in to have it checked out , I said I will wait for first service. April got phone call saying that my car was still registered in there name. I have to bring the vehicle back in to have roadworthy done so they can transfer into my name. On completion of roadworthy I asked service manager could he show me how the fog lights. He was unsure able to get them to work. I stated that you have just done a roadworthy and that they have to be working for the vehicle to being a roadworthy condition. He had know idea he got the person that done the roadworthy he couldn't get the fog lights to work. They both tried to bluff me that they don't need to work. They sent me away with an unroadworthy vehicle. Tried on many times to have this problem fixed have been unsuccessful. Have given information from Vic Roads stating that they are part of a roadworthy and that they must work to so the vehicle is in a Roadworthy condition. Also got a independent roadworthy done which the vehicle failed due to the fog lights not working. Even this has gone on deaf ears with the dealership the person that I was dealing with was someone call Perry. He has not taken any responsibility for them sending me away with an unroadworthy vehicle or even coming to the party to have this problem resolved. He states he will ring you back but never does you have to ring back even sending him emails. There after care service is terrible to have to deal with them. Once they have your money your on your own. The worst dealership that i have ever had to deal with in my 62 years. Wondering how many other vehicles that they sell being in an unroadworthy condition, be very careful when buying a vehicle from this dealership for your own peace of mind

My name is Amy but you now exactly who it is Jade. Idon't even know where to start with this place I was scammed by a Launceston car yard and once… Read more

it escalated I got handed off to a guy named Jade, he was incredibly rude and on many instances pretty much told me that I wasn't going to get anything after being left with no car on the side of the road.

After the car failed for the third time this time estimated to cost $7500 I REFUSED to take this peice of crap back.

He repeatedly told me that I had no choice but to take this car and till I notified him but I found a dodgy piece of paper displaying everything that was wrong with the car and I demanded to see a receipt for everything that was fixed on the car to ensure those things were actually fixed before the car was sold. THEY WE'RENT AS I CALLED THE MECHANIC!

I could hear the panic in his voice and then after I threatened to go to a current affair then he offered to buy me out for ONLY the price of the car.

But he was well aware that I had taken out a loan so my payout bigger was around $16,000 dollars including everything I put into the car.

Long story short I ended up going into another car ONLY after having to pay another $3,000 so I wasn't left with our a car! We missed our entire summer being stuck with no vehicle!

So all in all I paid well over $2000 for a car I no longer own and still had to pay it all again with the car I now have! STEAR CLEAR!

ABSOLUTE SCAM ARTISTS. Especially you Jade in the end you had an many recorded phone calls told me I was getting a refund for $1060 dollars AFTER I transferred yet another 3,000 for a new car, and once I paid it. What happened? You said specifically oh I shouldn't use the word refund, BECAUSE I WAS NOT GETTING IT BACK!
