Underwhelmed, under powered, annoying service issues – Underwhelmed This is our second induction cooktop (different model from previous) and we were impressed by the reviews for this model. Sadly, the… Read more

two smaller right hand burners often fail to sense the presence of a saucepan so they won't heat anything and the large burner, although more powerful, also sometimes just decides to stop heating for no reason which is frustrating in the middle of cooking a sauce or anything really.

The two smaller burners individually are fine but are not very powerful when they are both heating so there's often a fair amount of saucepan juggling to switch to the big burner which has plenty of oomph. But it's disappointing to have to keep moving a saucepan when you need more heat at a certain point in cooking.

The dials take some getting used to with a scale of 0 - 9. 9 (or the P power setting) will boil things ok, but anything much below 7 barely keeps things simmering so all your cooking seems to be done on 7, 8 or 9 making 1- 5 almost redundant except to keep something warm.

The frypan sensor sounds a good idea (thermostatically keeping a constant temp) but again the scale goes from 1-5 but really only 4 or 5 seem to deliver any frying heat and I'm not sure what is the point of 1-3.

Those technical niggles aside. If it works properly it's neat. It's quite stylish and we did really want a knob rather than slidy dials which never seem to work with wet fingers. So the control wheel is a good feature.

As mentioned elsewhere in other reviews, Bosch service (they own NEFF) is awful and 2 months later we are still waiting for "spare parts" to arrive to fix an issue no one has even been to diagnose. For a $2000 cooktop which was faulty at installation I find this completely unacceptable.

That service issue aside, we're underwhelmed by the lack of everyday performance.

Perfect for me. Favourite thing is the 280mm zone, which is larger than most. Right zone flexibility is fabulous. Performance is fantastic. The… Read more

single controller for all zones takes getting used to, though worth it for the space it save. Price point was great. Overall I just love this cooktop and glad I didn't buy a larger one.

Not a good product – I do not like the magnetic dial, it works intermittently, if you have moisture on your fingers forget it, you cannot dial around, worse if you have… Read more

any oils. One of my induction saucepans does not work on the large hot plate. I feel it is gimmicky rather then efficient.
