1It's one of the worst BBQs on the marketForget rocking out a big breakfast. The hot plate is awkward and even with all three burners going it was barely able to get the bacon sizzling. Definitely won't be buying any BBQs from gasmate ever again.
Gasmate, if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen. Show details

Doesn’t bbq meat just stews it poor heatThis bbq does not get hot enough, stews the meat. Purchased January 2018 from BCF. Temperature gauge doesn’t move. Expensive and not upto the job. Will be taking it back for a refund. Heat varies greatly across the bbq plates... Read more. On high the flame can hardly be seen. I have used this bbq several times and unfortunately it’s stewed the meat each time.

Pretty good BBQ overallI've had this since before Xmas. It does a pretty good job. Much harder to put together than I'd expected and the finish isn't excellent (sides don't line up perfectly). It does cook evenly and the slide out gas bottle holder is a nice touch. Feels a little cheap for the price. Fairly easy to clean. The 240V lights are good for cooking at night. Show details

BQ1090BLBHWe love our Gasmate Galaxy Out Door KitchenWe have had this unit for around 18 months and it ticks all our boxes as I use the BBQ every week for several nights and it has not let us don whatsoever with plenty of heat on the cooking plates and grill. The only issue was... Read more we had to get another flat cooking plate rather than have two-thirds with the grill sections each to their own I guess. Easy to clean and the hood clear window also comes in handy when cooking roasts under the hood. The fridge gets cold very quickly and we use the inbuilt sink and storage regularly.
The backup service from Gasmate was also excellent thank you.
We have now ordered a 1500mm new Gasmate rangehood as well to suit this kitchen and just waiting on delivery keep up the good work.

Terrible purchase and productBbq is terrible. Covered in rust that occurs despite using covers and cleaning routinely. It’s also terrible to cook meat on compared to weber q at 1/10 the cost. Ironic that I cook everything on a $300bbq and my gasmate $3000 unit sits as an idle rusting eyesore. Look closely at surface as it’s all covered in speckled rust.

Already rusty rubbishI'd give it zero stars if I could.
This rapidly rusting Gasmate kitchen was meant to replace our 20+ year old rust-free Weber stainless steel BBQ that still looks good (with just a weekly wipe down) and was only being replac... Read more
ed because we wanted to expand to a full kitchen and we felt that buying the classy full package made sense - to get something “posh” to be be proud of. We didn’t expect it to become an embarrassing rusty eyesore in only a few months. In fact, this Gasmate product has rusted so fast that, apart from connecting the water the day it was unpacked, I haven't used any of it at all (there’s been no BBQs ever and the fridge hasn’t even been plugged in) and we don't plan to ever use it. To me it's just an anger-provoking rusty eyesore that I want gone. And I'll continue to use my old RUST-FREE Weber. I trusted Gasmate and specifically bought from this Aussie company because I felt they would make it properly, with materials that suit the Aussie climate, and I trusted that Gasmate would not cut costs like the cheap and nasty Bunnings/Chinese offerings do. Clearly I was wrong to trust Gasmate. Since the purchase, I've discovered that Gasmate use inferior 430 grade stainless steel (which RUSTS) instead of using a more resistant type (304 or 316 grade). I would have sent the whole kitchen and ugly cover back months ago if it wasn't for the logistics. We needed to hire a man with a tele-lifter (special extending forklift) to get it up onto our second storey veranda, and that was when it was still safely wrapped, packaged and on pallets. How do you return something from Newcastle to Melbourne that’s so fragile and is stuck up on a second storey veranda? As the enclosed photos clearly show, this Gasmate product is simply not built from suitable materials to be fit for purpose or to be of merchantable quality and as such we believe that under Australian Consumer Law we have been thoroughly scammed by Gasmate. And Gasmate's response? The warranty service guys insist that rust isn't covered under warranty and the big boss manager (at Sitro Group Australia) has ignored my snail mail. Definitely the worst purchase I've ever made. Disgraceful Gasmate!Gasmate Avenir BQ2026KIT
