4.5 years of use and it has diedWas an effective and powerful rangehood but has just died after 4.5 years - that's not good enough. I'm left to debate whether to repair or replace - this model is an ideal fit for our kitchen but reviews on repairs on this ... No name brandFirstly I was surprised to find that de longhi did not put their name to this item ?
Maybe the lady at the shop was right when she said they are all the same? (Perhaps made by 1 factory in China)

ons on how the item was to be fitted. More detail would have helped like what was the metal angle item for and where was it to be fitted and how. (Cover to fill in any gap between rear wall and unit. More info on the collar (to fit exhaust duct to) and how it fits into unit. Unit case is of solid metal and is of reasonable weight. Needs minimum of 2 people to fit. 1 to hold unit in place while other fixes screws thru cupboard above into holes in unit. A template to help with locating holes for support screws would be helpful. Unit seems to operate ok. Early days.DeLonghi DE60UM / DE90UM

Good while it lastedPurchased this product just over 3 1/2yrs ago. It wasn't the cheapest rangehood at $387. First thing I noticed was the controls, which you have to stand on your head, to actually look under the hood to see. You soon learn to ... That is until I came home the other afternoon and the rangehood lights were on, and cannot be turned off other than with the Power Point. They were red hot so had turned themselves on some time during the day. Luckily I keep my filters clean, so there was no grease to potentially spontaneously combust. First thing I did was try and find a Delonghi serviceman in the Penrith area. If you have a coffee machine there's a million of them. Got an electrician out who said the printed circuitboard needed replacing, and I would be better going through DeLonghi. Contacted Good Guys who gave me the phone number of a company. They have quoted $336 to fix it, then there's the potential for the halogen lights to blow, so, either pay for them to be replaced with the circuitboard or pay $500 for a new one. I have decided to switch the PowerPoint on when I need to use it, and turn it off when finished. I'll wait for them to come on special. I would rather not buy DeLonghi again, but the electrician said the hole has been made to take that unit, so another brand may be slightly different and not fit. Not impressed at all.
