TerribleNot happy at all with Jim's Roofing in the manner their contractor installed bird proofing mesh on my solar panels.
The job was done very poorly and was not done to a satisfactory manner, in some places the mesh wasn't secure... Read mored properly and in some places wasn't installed. I still have pegions nesting under the panels and I recently had to have the gutters cleaned. When contacted to come and rectify, the installer wasn't forthcoming. A complaint made to the parent company wasn't helpful either as I referred back to the installer. To make matters worse I was charged for 24 panels yet I only have 18 panels. Not happy at all, I have previously used Jim's Mowing, Jim's Building Inspections, Jim's Energy and Jims Car Detailing and they have been wonderful. Will not recommend or use Jim's roofing again.

Great gutter guardWeve had Leafbusters gutter guard on our shed and house roofs from 2013. We just had the 2 men come back to clean it and oh my gosh there’s not anymore overflushy happening anymore which is great. Very good service and we recommend them. Now our garden won’t flood.

Read more my certification email(sent in 2020) and requested a copy today (2024) and within minutes had a copy emailed to me. I just got a partial replacement done on my garage Paul checked it and advised that he considered more screws were needed - job completed the same day. I consider this to be a very good family business and would much rather deal with a family business than some large pyramid type business. They all make you feel you and your job are important to them and put the effort in to make sure you are happy with job.

Newcastle office is a poor example of a companyThe manager at the Newcastle branch continually lies about safety elements on jobs to cover her failed team the products sent to jobs was continuously ordered wrong or not suitable for the job this was continuously blamed on the installer to protect managers and supervisors mistakes company pays terrible and lie about injuries

Very DissapointedContacted Mark and he was prompt to come and look at the problem. Didn't recieve the quote so contacted Mark and then he sent the quote.
Again contacted Mark and accepted the quote.
Since then Mark does not respond to e-mails or phone calls.
Don't understand as he wasted both my time and his.
Would not recommend.

After-sales serviceThey delivered one z-purlin short but insist it was delivered. The poor middleman, Dinky Di sheds, had to pay for another one to be delivered. Stramit promised to deliver on Monday but failed to do so. Had the shed builder booked in for nothing. Poor service.

Wouldn't allow an appointmentI called the company to get a quote, but they refused to make an appointment unless my husband would also be at the appointment.
I advised that my husband and I had agreed that I could meet and gain quotes, but they still refused an appointment.

Gutters and gutter guard combinedWe installed these new gutters onto the house just recently and I have to say that the gutter system is exactly as described in the advertisement. We got the colour we ordered and the time frame was reasonable. So, from order, deposit and installation it would have taken 1.5 months. (The owner of the company said that it was difficult to get trades willing to work in our area so aligning a trades person added to delay, which I didn't feel was overly long) We did encounter some problems when light rain followed, where the installers had omitted sealant at a couple of points but this was rectified by them after a phone call was made. All is great now. I am very pleased with the outcome. The shape of the gutters covers the fascia more than the conventional gutters do and they sit lower on the roof line exposing more of the roof profile, but to never have to clean out the gutters again for any leaf matter, places these issues in the “worth it” category. Overall, I would say that this was an expense justified in saving a lot of future work, especially in our situation where overhanging trees continually drop leaf litter and bark. I would get them again if I were building a new home. Highly recommended.

ir told me they use a product called Roof Protect made locally on the Gold Coast as their roof paint supplier. It's the thickest product on the market. They did a great job painting the roof and gutters. The boys cleaned up after themselves and left no mess. Very friendly and professional. Thanks!

Great service for all things gazebosI had my gazebo thatched roof replaced by Mr Thatch, following storm damage. They did an excellent job and it looked immaculate after. We have a problem with destructive crows on our property and they have been tearing up o... Read moreur property searching for materials for their nests. Mr Thatch returned twice to make the gazebo "as crow proof as possible" and secure black plastic that the crows were ripping out of the gazebo roof. We had two visits from Mr Thatch at no cost to us to modify our gazebo to prevent further "crow damage". This was not their responsibility and I was extremely happy with the service provided free of charge and their commitment to assisting us to "crow proof" our gazebo. Now for the spiders!
