Fantastic customer serviceOn Wednesday 10th May 2023 afternoon I went into the Lilydale Branch and I asked Miranda if she could apply the fee waiver on the ANZ Access Advantage if I showed them my Pension Concession Card and she said that was fine. I would recommend banking with them since they are extremely helpful with their customers.

Read moreer, when inquired about it the guys on the phone are always very friendly and happy to take their time explaining what had happened. There was even one time they decided to just write it off as it was an honest mistake. Definitely did not expect that but was very happy with the outcome.

Cannot increase above $1000I had been with ANZ credit card for long time, no bad credit. always paid balance in full within 2 or 3 weeks. I applied westpac and nab credit cards and got approved much much higher. ANZ won't increase and I got really upset and closed anz credit card. why should i pay yearly fee if cannot increase beyond 1k? Ridiculous system.

Be sure you are prepared for poor service before you offer them your businessSince ANZ offshored card assessment it’s a royal pain. Long wait times, no communication, assessors who don’t understand income, automated emails that don’t make sense. I got asked how I can be working full time and yet have annual leave showing on my payslip. I’ve tried most providers and sadly ANZ are now worst in the AU credit card market.

"We pay interest into your ANZ Save Account on the last Business Day of each month. It will generally include interest up to (but excluding) that day".
This is outrageous. I have never experienced another bank which does it this way and only discovered it when I noticed that my interest for the month of March was much lower than expected. This was a result of Easter falling at the end of March 2024 (making the last business day Thursday 28th), so I effectively lost 3 full days of interest. After checking the calendar I've discovered that my interest would be affected in this way in June, August and November 2024 due to weekends. Consequently, I am moving my money to a bank with very similar rates who pay interest on the full month. I feel there is no reason for this "feature". It is not commonplace practice and certainly not a good way to do business, particularly in terms of gaining trust. Although it is outlined in the terms, I feel that most people wouldn't even be aware of this.

This month, I applied for another car loan to replace my old car with a new one. ... Read moreAbout the same loan repayment amount, same term but my income has been increased, asset increased and my home loan paid off, so no debit. My car loan (secured loan) was rejected for insufficient income after long waiting and providing many documents. So I quickly applied for another car loan on a different bank as I am in the middle of buying a new car and it is approved within 48 hours. I thought I have paid off previous ANZ car loan successfully plus being ANZ and more income that would make my second car loan application easy with ANZ however it was not the case for ANZ. ANZ has a strange non-sense system and there is no royalty being a banking customer. This simply add a negative credit application history on my Equipfax credit report.
Previously I had the same experience with a personal credit card application. Approved from 2 banks right after ANZ rejecting my application. It is a funny and silly finance system from ANZ.

Horrible experiencePlease stay away from this company. They will make your life hell trying to verify your identity. Also because I am looking to move my super they are throwing up road blocks at every stage. Very high fees and shocking performance. They are majorly down while the market is up. If you are reading this do not use them.

Shockingly deceiving practicesMy partner met the spent criteria for the frequent flyer bonus, yet ANZ does not come through with the 75,000 Virgin frequent flyer points, 30 status credits and $95 Virgin flight credit. I rang the ANZ, the call centre was only able to give me the listed rates for smaller deposits, not the treasury rates, they said I had to ring the branch, ,The ANZ branch numbers are not listed, I was given the branch number and transferred by the call centre. I was forewarned that I will probably have to leave a message . I left two messages at one branch describing what I needed and as I had no response I left a message at another branch....I gave up waiting as I don't want to go through this process again in another 3/6 months.. Interestingly no one from the ANZ called me at all from any branch today, my understanding is that the treasury rate is valid for a day.. so how do I get a ANZ treasury rate if I am unable to physically go to a branch..

Read more house! and many assessors that will write what they want. (Although the independent engineer was good). My kitchen and bathroom and balcony had to be replaced entirely. Initially they tried to tell me it wasn’t due to storm damage. Eventually they accepted damage to the kitchen and the bathroom and they insist it is only worth 10k. I have new for old replacement. Tye tiler alone was more than 10k. They said they didn’t have to tell me how they came to this cost. I couldn’t afford alternate accommodation so stayed in another apartment I own which I would normally rent out and they indicated they didn’t have to reimburse for this accommodation expense… there is plenty more I could add to my experience it has been a very stressful year. I hope this review ensures people don’t get their home insurance with ANZ it is underwritten by qbe by the way … they take a very long time to get back to you on anything. My appeal is currently with ACFA, I know 8 months later the loss of rent and business (which they don’t cover) months later will not even come close to what I’ve lost and I still can’t live there. Please don’t buy insurance with them.
